Premier League clubs have voted to bring in a new spending cap system on a trial basis for the 2024-25 season.www.bbc.co.uk
Can see rags going to court to stop this. Spending shedloads is their game plan
So smaller clubs should show no ambition and accept that they are and always will be mediocre?I guess it depends on your political leanings. Socialism vs capitalism. FYI, we are in agreement.
Mandating being equally mediocre is much worse than Supporting trailblazers and forward thinkers like our club.
There will be separate 'caps' depending on the shirt colour! Can see rags going to court to stop this. Spending shedloads is their game plan
You are Xi Jinping and I claim my bowl of rice....To be quite honest I am sick to death of world Americanism.
If they don't agree bomb them.
If that doesn't work get someone else to do it
If the rules don't suit change them.
As if they are beacon to the rest of the world.
Yeah but it works in the NHL so it's provenSeems the premier want to kill itself!

Not quite. Not agreed to overseas games yet, not extended halftimes to allow "shows" to take place...... Give it time.Have we now gone full Yank?

Not yet wait till top four play offs to decide who wins league shieldHave we now gone full Yank?
The other leagues in Europe will be loving this. The yank owners can cream off the dough. Next the league will be one up one down via a play off. It will totally kill the leagues world dominance within a decade.
What odds FSG have found a work around to sign 4 100 million plus players whilst we cannot? This again has come up because there is a vote about capping annual wages plus staff and spend! at 5 times the bottom club earns from tv revenue! Means it be around 530m you can spend on all wages and money to spend of transfers! So if you wages are around 350m you have 180m you can spend! It now means not club can spend say more than 150/250m a season! Which looks fine but with inflation renewing of contracts increase wages will make top top players leave!
Seems the premier want to kill itself!
