So smaller clubs should show no ambition and accept that they are and always will be mediocre?
Where would CITY be now if they hadn't kept on battering at the door?
When Pep leaves, it is not impossible that our fortunes could change and we slip down the table

This again has come up because there is a vote about capping annual wages plus staff and spend! at 5 times the bottom club earns from tv revenue! Means it be around 530m you can spend on all wages and money to spend of transfers! So if you wages are around 350m you have 180m you can spend! It now means not club can spend say more than 150/250m a season! Which looks fine but with inflation renewing of contracts increase wages will make top top players leave!

Seems the premier want to kill itself!

yes and no

NHL are #1 league and no one comes close, everyone wants to play there and wages are way better there than other leagues. There was Russian/European KHL league where wages from Oligarchs were very good, but that went up on smoke after the Russian-Ukraine war

Premier League is #1 league in the world, but La Liga are up there, there would be lesser incentive for Spain's top talent to leave La Liga, French talent to leave Ligue1, Deutch talent to leave Bundesliga this changes could even make KSA to get a better pull

yes, Premier League would get more competetive, but would weaken on global stage

that is at least what i've got from this.

If you cup your ears and listen very carefully you can just make out the ice cream music and just a faint whiff of the dancing girls with their pom poms and pearly white teeth :)

Then the tv revenue will fall we end up like Italy after there dominance! Cant see it be voted in by 2 3rds

What odds FSG have found a work around to sign 4 100 million plus players whilst we cannot?
