New striker?

Who could we look to bring in last minute if the Kane deal doesn't materialize

Obviously wouldn't be anyone like Haaland

But we could easily get someone like Jovic or Abraham either on loan or a permanent deal to tide us over till next summer.

I'd imagine there are going to be shed loads of rumours flying around.

Not Abraham, he's just gone to Roma.
 
I always thought Ings would be a good cheaper option as he's got a good all round game, presses and can finish.

However obviously that won't happen now.

I've just gone through the Fantasy Premier League app looking at the strikers available to see if there's any similar to Ings (a bit too good for the club they're at and could maybe do well for us stylistically).

There's none.

The only ones I considered at all were Callum Wilson (who I don't think is as good as Ings) and Pukki (scored goals in the Prem last time round despite being in a poor team). Even keeping an open mind there really isn't a lot to consider.

I think it would have to be someone from abroad.

To be fair to him, I think any striker would have struggled for Norwich against us on Saturday, so judging him by that is harsh.

He almost certainly isn't good enough for us, but he's too good for them.
 
we are now at a level where we only look at 1% of (potentially) available strikers, or players in general for a particular position.

throwing a random into our team and hoping he clicks is not our bag. we have a target. at the right price he is available. if it doesnt come off there wont be panic buying, we will go with what we have.

personally i would love Delap to get a season in the 1st squad to see if he sinks or swims. i believe he will swim like peaty!!!
