Newcastle send 'strongly worded statement' to FA about NDJ

Did Newcastle do the right thing and suspend their own player in Nolan when he made this attempt at a tackle against Everton a couple of years back? Did they fuck

Point taken about the metaphors..... yes I have seen the tackle and as I said it was not malicious but overly forceful (refs words not mine)......

As for elbows, someone alluded to, I presume you are talking about Tom H v Twente, I agree it should have been red.... but the ref missed it and UEFA have different rules on these things, they only look at cases of mistaken identity......

As for the scissor movement, NDJ legs were either side of HBA and closed in a scissor like movement........

Let me ask you this..... had this been the other way round and Tevez was out for 7 or 8 months, would you be so "well that's football" about it..... if he was robustly tackled by Shawcross or Cattermole or someone else with a rep for being physical??

How is that relevant? I'm pretty sure some blues would be annoyed about it but that wouldn't mean they were right. That's why fans don't officiate games. The fact remains it wasn't a foul, it wasn't even a particularly "robust" challenge. It was an accident.

The thing is Tevez takes plenty of bad tackles but he is strongly built and can take it. The Ben Arfa lad clearly has a couple of matchsticks for legs.

The stench of hypocrisy over this tackle is nauseating

What?? This photo is taken after the ball has rebounded away so is quite late in the tackle sequence, to me it looks as if the damage was done by the imminent impact of NDJ's trailing knee hitting Ben Arfa's leg. There's no evidence of any scissors action prior to contact.

Can't get banned for that tackle. Even the FA are not that fucking stupid.

Excellent tackle, perfect technique.

Overly forceful? You have got to be fucking kidding me.

This whole thing has become a farce, Calderwood says it was hard but fair, Talkshite launch a witch hunt led by the ginger ego Durham, assisted by ex convict and animal neglecter Micky Quinn, who uses the incident to divert attention away from the debacle at Liverpool. Meanwhile woman beater and sexual pervert Stanley i have never won f*ck all as a proffesional footballer collymore spouts shite for a couple of hours, before having the week off to try and find a buyer for his home made porno of himself riding Ulrika into the Jamaican sunset.
Then super ref Graham i book the same player twice Poll, decides to get in on the act and claims that the ref was blindfolded at the moment of impact and has no recollection of the incident. Therefore the FA can now ban De Jong for life or until "Sir Alex" decides he can play again.

Lol @ the spurs fan hoping he will get a 5 game ban.

Wonder what the Spurs fan has to say for Huddlestones blatant elbow in the champions league last week that went unpunished

The thing that baffles me is that most of the people saying it was a foul also say that we shouldn't have had a penalty as the ball was won first in the tackle despite taking Tevez out after it
