Mancini would be my first choice for sentiment and how he’s seamlessly evolved into a modern coach, but Marco Rose or Jesse Marsch are worth a serious look and both will likely impress in their new roles.

Mancini's current trajectory matches up well with Peps current contract.

He gets to lead Italy into two major tournaments both within 18 months of each other and if he does well (semis) then has six months off to consider his next move.

I love and admire Pep, He’s our best manager of my lifetime but oh my God I would love love love to bring Mancini Back. (Sadly it’ll never happen).

I don’t think a modern manager has ever connected with a fan base quite so completely as the Italian God.

Watching the Italy game now and it just feels so right to see him in a dugout again.

Love the man. Always will.
