Neymar

Wasn't impressed the other day and I haven't been when I have streamed a few Santos games.

Now to fully judge a player you have to watch them live and I am certainly not in any position to argue with Txiki or the scouting team who seemingly are very interested in him.

Huge commercial and potentially footballing benefits though.

Or Bale, or Falcao, or all the other players the transfer forum is obsessed about.

He's an unreal talent who probably has at least 4-6 years of improvement in
him.

Are you his agent?

This sums the transfer forum up, asking and then answering your own questions.

Seen him around 4/5 times in live televised games and looks far from the real deal in my opinion.

If you look back at the article I posted from mundo deportivo, you will see they are saying...over a 4 year deal, neymar will cost an estimated €160 million..barcalona apparently have the option of a €80 million buy out clause, for everyone else it's €120 million.how that works,I don't know....can't see ANYBODY paying this amount......if there is any truth in it...

Absolutely Ridicules fee 30m tops for the overrated Robinho incarnation

It was a question - do you believe falcao or bale were better at 21?

exactly, he doesn't look like the sort to knuckle down when the going's tough. Not keen on Brazilians in the English league, Argentinian's seem to have a lot more fight in them.

Not enough substance to back up the style. Would be a HUGE risk bringing him to the premier league. He's a fucking fairy

i agree, the guy is such a financial gamble. seems to be a mario mk2 potential about this. let him go to Barca, all the noises coming out of his camp are referring to barca, if he comes it will be for the wages and that is the first city player i would say is a mercenary (after danny mills and bridge obviously).

Cant see him going to barca if they impliment the 50% tax rule. I think he will go PSG , and either live up to his potential and move on or become robinho x2.

Can't believe how often the national stereotypes are trotted out as if Sandro / Ramires / Lucas simply don't exist - not to mention our most disruptive, dissatisfied player being Argentinian. You can't just judge a player on the flag he plays under.

Completely agree! Sandro/Ramires would improve our team infinitely too. Not sold on Neymar just yet but even if it is just short term and raises the club's profile in South America, surely that wouldn't be a bad thing...?

For his age his potential is unreal, one bad game against England does not mean he is a bad player.

People forget the Brazillian players who play in the Brazillian Serie A are still in pre season.

Of course he is a gamble, but Oscar came from the Brazillian league and has settled in well at Chelsea, he was not as good as Neymar is in that league.

Completely agree with all this. Ridiculous to see him constantly compared to Robinho who he has obviously far surpassed (scored nearlying as many goals in half many appearances -nearly as many international goals in far less appearances). Scored 43 in 47 appearances last year. These are makings of an excellent

It's his playing style that hasn't seem to convince that he can thrive in the EPL. He seems to be some playing some sort of traditional Brazilian samba football, what with those flicks and tricks. Whereas players like Oscar, Ramires, are your traditional standard players that can definitely make it in the EPL.

Unless there's an example like Ronaldinho, who thrived in the EPL, I'm still not convinced Neymar fits here. He's a great player, but maybe wasn't built for the EPL.

Robinho Part 2.

And he may not even reach Robinho level.

At 21 he's nearly matched Robinho for goals. He's scoring at a rate only matched only by Messi, Pele and Ronaldo. He's up there with Aguero, Cavani and Gotze as the best player I've seen in the flesh. He scored 43 goals in 47 games in a competitive league. It's hard to imagine a better player being more underrated because you've had a couple of inferior players from the same country.
