NFL 2024-25

The Muni lot is the quintessential Browns gameday experience. How long you got in Cleveland? Drop me a DM if you want and I can give you some recommendations.
Just picked this up now, currently 30 miles south of Cleveland having had a great day at the Hall of Fame and heading in for a 9am start at the Muni lot on Sunday. The people we are meeting are arriving at 4.30 am.... They take tailgating verrrry seriously.

Thanks for the offer, we have one last day on Monday, thinking of the rock and roll hall of fame, is it recommended?

Have fun today- looks like it’s going to be a beautiful day. I’ll miss most of the game, as we’re off to see the Cleveland Orchestra this afternoon, but a few of us are heading to Vegas for the Raiders game next week.
The Rock Hall is decent, if you like that sort of thing. If you want even more beer, hit up West 25th in the Ohio City area. Some very decent microbreweries and good food. Market Garden, right next door to the West Side Market is my favourite.

My son paid £150 mate. I think his mate has some kind of NFL London/Tottenham season tickets so they had theirs. Didn't think I was going to get this year but he bought it for me. I usually pay between £75-£120

Browns were dreadful again. The first half was an embarrassment. Second half only a bit better. The team cannot do the most simple things.

Need a bit of a clear out in the post season and some coaches need to consider their future as they cannot even get the players to do the most simple tasks.

Adopted the Browns as my second team (after the Steelers) as my son lives there. Watched the end of their game after the Steelers' game finished and it did seem a little hapless. But that helps the Steelers in AFC North I guess.

And talking of the Steelers, looks like they've finally got a decent QB in Justin Fields, with Russell Wilson waiting in the wings. I've always been a Wilson fan but Fields is doing fine. It's been a revelation to see a Steelers QB able to actually put one foot in front of another and run the ball, instead of watching Big Ben, whose feet appeared to be nailed to the turf at times and needing a mobility scooter. Then he was replaced by Mason Rudolph, who really wasn't up to the mark.

Not sure the offence is quite as strong as the one that had Chase Claypool, Juju Smith-Schuster and Diontae Johnson, but they do have Najee Harris and George Pickens. The last quarter of the game v LAC seemed to show the parts starting to come together and they're 3-0 so far.

You flatter the Browns. They were super crap. The first half was as bad as I have ever witnessed. The second half was much better but still poor. The injuries are also now adding up in addition to the players who were already on injured reserve since the season started. I have a feeling things going to get worse before things improve.

The Steelers are doing Steelers things. Winning through sheer will and toughness. That's Mike Tomlin for you. Their defense will always give them a chance but I do think when they face the more high powered offenses, they will struggle to score the points to match them. Fields has a few limitations, while Wilson seems to have lost any mojo he had. Not so keen on Najee Harris but I do like Jaylen Warren a lot. He has a bit of x factor about him, makes chunk runs and is better at identifying gaps, in my opinion. George Pickens is a genuine talent. Much better than Claypool, Johnson and JuJu. I think Claypool is a free agent at the moment. Tomlin knew he was trouble and the front office did a great job getting a second round pick for him from the Bears.

As it stands, the Steelers are very well placed to win the North and make the play-offs.

Another Steelers fan. I’m not as high on Fields as some, but he’s not done much wrong so far. Their defence though might be the best unit in the NFL and the best the Steelers have had since their 2005 Super Bowl team. They’ll be a handful for anyone if they can stay fit - they beat up the Chargers who have one of the best NFL o-lines. I thought they’d do well to win 6 games this season, I’m revising that way up now.

I was listening to WFAN in Cleveland on the Monday after watching the emabarassment in person on Sunday. Kevin Stefanski was getting pelters off the hosts and fans with Deshaun Watson and Jameis Winston getting deserved criticism.

There are several more deserving of criticism ahead of Jamieis.

The game plan on offense and defense in the first half was really bad. Equally bad that it took them so long to change it. I think Jim Schwartz should be subject to criticism. The inability of the defense to deal with screens and sweeps is infuriating. The DL and LBs are set up to play like a demented bull in bull fight). This was a problem for pretty much the second half of last year (Rams game being a prime example).

Thankfully, I missed the game on Sunday. Will be in LV this weekend for the Raiders game though. Very telling to note that the three teams the Browns have played so far are a collective 0-6 in their other games. Cleveland’s schedule is rough this season and these first few weeks were seen as the ‘easy’ part.
