I rate him highly.

Otamendi will be brilliant, being aggressive and intercepting lots of passes, then make a mistake or be out of position and cost us a goal.

It happens too often, Pep needs to be ruthless and make it clear that's not good enough.

How much has Otamendi won in his career out of interest? Seems to me like a good player who's not quite at the level to win things.

He was named La Liga's best defender just three seasons ago. But yeah, there's too many mistakes in his game. His lunge tackles for one. Must have a lunge success rate of two in ten. Got to stay on his feet.

It doesn't matter if he gets a 90% success rate with 9 out of 10 if the tenth costs us a goal. The one he missed yesterday near halfway could have lost us the game but for Sane's pace and quick thinking recovering the situation.

We probably played as well as we have all season against a team most thought would tear us a new one and what do we get, fans fecking arguing about our own players. I was as disappointed as the next man that we didn't take the points we have earned, but I left the ground quite upbeat at the way we had played and as a taster of what is to come.
