Both Ducker and the Fail are talking through their collective arsehole's. they are guessing what the deal is worth as no monetary figure has been announced and is unlikely to be

Chevrolet don't sell ANY cars here! They pulled out of the market to make way for their couzens Vauxhall.

City's sponsorship deal with Nissan will be worth more than £20m over five years. Big contract in automotive sector #mcfc
The partnership will see the Japanese automotive giant enjoy a strong brand presence at the Etihad Stadium and on digital platforms

So yesterday United announced a deal with Nissin
And today we announce a deal with Nissan
Do you think somebody in the rag marketing department made a typo and they've been stuck with a noodle company!!! ha ha

I'm all for poking at bit of fun at United and GM, but they're not complete morons!

Probably.
Here in the state, General Motors, who owns Chevrolet, a significant amount of their cars are being recalled due to a defect.

He should change his name to Jonny Ball.
He hasn't got a clue. Do you think anyone at City told him the finer details of the deal? No!
Do you think anyone at Ni$$an told him the finer details of the deal? No!
The details of the deal will stay confidential.
Then the Daily Fail picked up on the story like it always does and posted that figure. Zzzzzzzz.
Put it this way, 5 years, Manchester City, New York City, Melbourne City,(Yokohama F·Marinos) and the City's Women's team, etc. £4mill?
The partnership will see the Japanese automotive giant enjoy a strong brand presence at the Etihad Stadium and on digital platforms
Expect to see the Nissan name plastered all over the Etihad on the new digital advertising boards on level 1 and 2 next season.
Full press release. <a class="postlink" href="http://www.mcfc.co.uk/~/media/Files/Club/Nissan_CFG_release_final.ashx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.mcfc.co.uk/~/media/Files/Clu ... final.ashx</a>
That would mean this Nissan deal is worth more per year than Etihad deal, which is £35 million per year.Davs 19 said:jrb said:James Ducker @DuckerTheTimes 1m

Quite a few weeks back, certainly before the Japan/Nissan deal broke, I posted on here that this was happening. I was misinformed about the size of the stake in the club we bought but was also told that the Nissan sponsorship was potentially the biggest commercial deal that the club had ever secured and would banish the spectre of FFP once and for all. We'll see I suppose.
