Nolito

It's not bizarre. There are a select few individuals at our club who are immune from criticism on here. Not just criticism, but dare to even shed an opinion that isn't an entirely positive one and you'll be slated. The ironic thing is other players are free to be slated left right and centre, just not a 'chosen' few.

It's a shame to see even the bloody transfer forum is going the same way. Just to accept that every signing is going to be top notch and keep any concerns away from, erm, a discussion forum.

I like to think of this place as a supporters forum rather than a general football discussion forum.

Given that it lends itself to an optimistic tone rather than pissing and fucking moaning at virtually everything.

Never heard of him before we were linked. Got to watch a bit of him at the Euros and he seems like a technically sound, hard working player...which is generally what Pep wants. His highlights videos show some electric dribbling (I know we only see the best bits on YouTube). At that price, it's a steal.

Who cares about him being 29 at that price? Get 2-3 good years out of him as a squad player and we'd be more than thrilled. Welcome Nolito!!

You do realize the difference between saying what you say "he is shite until he proves otherwise" and saying for example "I will observe his performance and then decide what I think about him" or even "Pep wants him so he must be good until he proves to be shite"? Your standpoint is unbelievably negative from the beginning.

Who said he's shite? I said he's inferior to the quality of player I think we should be looking at? As is Stones. Gundogan, however, is not. Why's that so difficult for some to accept? Was it ok when I suggested Scott Sinclair might not be a great signing? Was it ok when I suggested similar with Maicon? I'm absolutely gobsmacked that this has became a place where we've all to simply go along with absolutely everything and not raise any questions.

So 2 potential signings and one of last seasons signings = virtually fucking everything. You couldn't make it up.

Infact, you just did.

This statement all day long.

FFS , he's not even officially signed yet , hasn't put on a shirt yet , hasn't played one minute and still some jerks on here are slagging him off. Unbelievable! You know what , I only hope the players don't come on this forum cos , in general,it doesn't make them feel welcome or wanted.
How about us supporters actual 'support' the club , now there's a novel idea.
Manchester City are a football club on the up , we are not there yet and therefore cannot sign the best of the best for every position. Cmon blues let's give a warm welcome and encouragement to our players both old and new.

Par for the course on here with a few, mate. Unless a signing is under 25, lightning fast, scores 20 goals a season and costs >£30 mil - he's shite. If he gets slagged off by the media enough - he's shite.

I didn't think you would get my point.

Can some one clear up whether this guy has any real pace or not? All the reports when we were first linked suggested he was pacy, but from watching him in the Euro's and the standard Youtube clips he looks like he's running in treacle half the time.

Whether he'll be a good signing or not i think depends on who he's going to replace in the squad. Will surely be either Navas or Nasri.

He plays on the left cutting in to the middle so not navas and i would think nasri who works a bit harder will stay

i know he plays on the opposite wing but we've got to consider the foreign squad place he'll take up. We're already full in that regards (Gundogan replacing MDM, Zaba about to go but you have to assume he'll be replaced) so somebody will have to make way for him. The only two obvious options in a remotely similar position are Navas and Nasri.

"Wah wah we're not signing £100 million superstars with every transfer wah wah". Nolito will prove to be a great addition to the squad. Not that that stops some people spitting their dummy out before he even kicks a ball for us.

FM researcher put his pace and acceleration around 14 if I remember. I know I know....
