I think there definitely needs to be a thread to get dialogue on creating a home end. There's a small group of consistent posters in here, but it needs much wider debate. It's similar in the atmosphere thread as well, where it's a group of posters that tend to debate and suggest things.

At some point, it's worthwhile setting up a thread - even with a poll so those that attend games can give their ideas and feedback and we can be proactive about what happens. The club fucked up with the SS and we need to ensure they don't make basic mistakes here. Or we can sit on our hands and whinge when they do launch it. This is the last chance.

Hopefully we should know more information after the 2nd meeting between the club, City Matters Reps, a representative from 1894, and other fan groups who are also at the meeting.

At the 1st meeting it was made crystal clear to club by fans representing the wider fan base what the wider fan base wants for the North stand and North stand level 2.

From a personal point of view I will be very disappointed and frustrated if no new information about the North stand and North stand level 2 is released by the club or by the people representing the fans after the 2nd meeting. The club must know by now what their plans are for the North stand and North stand level 2 and how that ties in with what the fans want.

The club can’t continue with this vail of secrecy over the plans for the North stand and North stand level 2 indefinitely. How many more meetings do the club want with fan representatives before the club releases information (on the OS) about the plans for the North stand and North stand level 2?

After 2 meetings between the club and the fans representatives it’s now time for the club to give the wider City fan base an update on the plans for the North stand and North stand level 2.

All they care about these days is selling tickets to tourists who spend as much as possible in the shop

Hasn’t talk of a home end come from the club? Could be wrong but sure initially it did.Also if they weren’t interested they may have well just mmirrored the south stand.

That doesn’t sound good! Would the club not do due diligence before handing out a contract like this mate?

Of course they would.

In fairness, you could say the same for almost all contractors, it is equally complex for anyone. They would all likely have used a limited pool of the same specialist subbies, and a lot will come down to how well they manage it all.

According to one or two on here, they were the only ones in the running for a long time, and if true, there is likely to be a reason for that. Beyond just cost, I would think.
