Is that not the whole purpose ?? ;-)Looks great, but it’s in Manchester. Give me a date when you won’t have rain bouncing off it?

It is a lot lot louder than a glass roof though. Particularly in the wind. The rooms facing it beware. The rain bounces off the glass roof, so it doesn’t soak the fans, not rocket science
No ;)Can you two take this to PM's, you are derailing the thread.
Well there is no way I will be staying in the hotel, so my dear, I don’t give a damn.It is a lot lot louder than a glass roof though. Particularly in the wind. The rooms facing it beware.
I like your style. You can stay!Is should have a capital letter and there should be no space between do & the question mark.
Happy to throw some fuel on the fire ;)
Same. I'm guessing that it won't be cheap to stay in it. But I presume the club did their homework regarding the demand for a hotel on the site and the likely percentage of the take up of the rooms.Well there is no way I will be staying in the hotel, so my dear, I don’t give a damn.
In the recent cgi’s the supporting trusses are a lot finer than those over Victoria Stn in jrb’s post , how the hell do they clean / maintain it ? Or will the final structure be more like the Victoria one ??It is a lot lot louder than a glass roof though. Particularly in the wind. The rooms facing it beware.
Just a guess. City might use Vector-Folitec to do the fan zone roof?In the recent cgi’s the supporting trusses are a lot finer than those over Victoria Stn in jrb’s post , how the hell do they clean / maintain it ? Or will the final structure be more like the Victoria one ??
Maybe a reason we’re having a roofLooks great, but it’s in Manchester. Give me a date when you won’t have rain bouncing off it?
Pretty apt with your “nom de plume” Leeky :-)Maybe a reason we’re having a roof
Rain noise has only been found to be a problem requiring remedy in a very small number of buildings for which Texlon® ETFE cladding forms part of the building envelope. If rain noise is found to be problematic, noise intensity can be easily minimized by installing a patented Texlon® RS rain suppression mesh. It can be easily retrofitted to any installationIt is a lot lot louder than a glass roof though. Particularly in the wind. The rooms facing it beware.
And just imagine how much revenue it would bring in too ;-)With City publicising the 84569 attendance v Stoke on the OS it got me a bit giddy. Maybe one day we will see the Etihad ‘finished off’ and the ES & CBS expanded to join up with the two ends. I really do hope so and it would make our stadium truly iconic and a fitting tribute to the club, its owners and us, the fans.
Imagine an Etihad crowd of 84570 v Stoke in the FA Cup Q Final in the year 2034..
Dad was in that crowd he said there thousand more who climb the wall and weren’t counted must have been 100k according to him said you couldn’t move just had to go with the sway of the massWith City publicising the 84569 attendance v Stoke on the OS it got me a bit giddy.
