Yes apparently they have to be finished with the roof by a certain date to allow for the pitch to be done.Isn't the pitch replaced each summer regardless?
The info is in this thread somewhere in the last 20 pages

The pavers are unsightly. I'm guessing there will be landscaping around the hotel and fan area and that will include putting in new flooring???I was just looking at Everton’s new stadium and it struck me how nice the surrounding floor looked…all the same and looked something like white marble.
When the building work has finished on ours will we do something similar or are we keeping the patchwork quilt of tarmac concrete and felt in different shades of blue green grey and black?
Usually done by controlled lowering with an interlinked hydraulic jacking system.Could be, I've been wondering for awhile how that works. It may explain the odd vertical end supports with the 2 yellow temporary connections, it'll be interesting to see what happens. Would make a great video maybe but it could be a long job.
I thought they might take the opportunity to do something right around the stadium and Joe Mercer Way but perhaps not.The pavers are unsightly. I'm guessing there will be landscaping around the hotel and fan area and that will include putting in new flooring???
They probably will, but there is still work to be done on the canal side of the arena with the new retail and restaurants ,so any resurfacing of JMW will probbably happen when that's all done.I thought they might take the opportunity to do something right around the stadium and Joe Mercer Way but perhaps not.
Pavers is probably the word I was looking for. I never know what to call it other than the floor!
One wonders if the temporary yellow supports and the yellow blocks on the end support will be removed when the cables all fixed ?A couple of pics from this morning.

Looks to me like the cables are not fully tightened and that when they take those yellow pieces out that’s how they will do it ?

Stunning flight this week @ssskies - amazing detail!
I think that one of the purlins has been installed the wrong way round. The top surface of the upstands which will take the skywalk platform are all parallel apart from this one. I think it needs rotating through 180°
