Great videos, but mate you've got to bin that fucking intro music though, fucking hell. Gets every time.
Hi Coatigan, I try and put the volume low on that, will come up with a different intro or just eith now sound to it. Cheers

Zoom in.

This picture really shows how high the new North stand roof will be compared to the current North stand roof, and the roofs on the Colin Bell stand and East stand.

The feng shui is going to be all off, just like Maine Road, and we’re going to win fuck all again for another 35 years.

The development is simply staggering. Building a hotel, an other building and a new stand whilst football continues is mind boggling.

Whilst the football has disappointed this season the building progress has been very entertaining. I will miss it when finally finished.

If the stand opens half way through next season, who is going to occupy it? Will they be match day tickets or FCFS tickets of what? Are they going part year season cards from a specific date?

It was discussed recently (by others) with the consensus being the club are holding back on any announcement until the roof is or at least confirmed as being on target, time wise.

The roof won’t make much difference. At the end of the day it needs to be there for North Stand level 1 and the OG level 2 by the time the first game starts in August.

The only time they can take down the original roof is during the close season because they need mobile cranes on the pitch to do it and these will cause some damage to the pitch so the work also needs to be concluded several weeks before the new season starts.

Expect all the initial roof beams to be in place before the end of April and perhaps even cabled up by then as well.

Helpful info mate. I think what the timetabling / ticket price engagement link is is that Danny Wilson has said (previously) that City will engage with fans groups / fans on tickets for the expanded North Stand when the current phase work on the roof is done. I think that’s the new roof structure that apparently needs to be up this month according to current timescales (but they might not be so important like you say).

We are expecting the engagement about tickets / season cards to start this month with the extraordinary AGM and wider fan engagement etc. City seemed to see taking down the existing roof in the Summer as less of an issue.

The above thinking may have changed now and City might be able catch up in the Summer like you say but City felt they need to be confident when the key stages in the new roof build are to be completed.

For example, they probably can’t offer half season season cards unless they are very confident the new stand will open in January 2026 and the fan engagement needs to happen before the Summer. Putting up the new roof structure looks incredibly complicated and from a layman’s perspective looks risky in terms of potential delays.

I’m not sure when the crowd test events are scheduled for the expanded stand that could affect the opening date. It would be helpful to see the project plan.
