North Stand expansion - seating, ticketing etc

I don’t understand why the club don’t open up the cup schemes to none season ticket holders. Once the season ticket holders have been given the opportunity to join them, open it up to match day members. Cheaper tickets, plus moving up the pecking order for away games and finals would see a good number of them sign up I reckon.
Makes sense to me. Even as a ST holder, feels harsh on matchday members who have been to all the cup games but are then denied a ticket for the final (if/when we get there obviously). Whatever kind of membership you hold, if you are happy to commit to joining a cup scheme, you should be given a priority window for final tickets.

Exactly. Affordable season tickets and match day tickets.

There’s no need for a flexi-gold season ticket and the made up criteria and guff that comes with it. All the club need to do is to sell standard season tickets again. Done.

To this day nobody has explained what the additional £150 charge is for. Maybe City Matters can ask that question at the next meeting with the club?

What’s next, a Flexi-Platinum?
It honestly wouldn’t surprise me if that was to come next!

You might be right, but the club also has to sell an increased amount of cup scheme tickets (which I’ve heard are really dropping off) and the best way to do that is attract new season ticket holders. I’ve no doubt they will have been doing the numbers via the limited amount they have released in recent years to see what the uptake has been. 60K+ is a hell of a lot of tickets to shift for early stage cup games + X4 CL home games, which don’t always sell themselves. Might we see a return of half season tickets for 2025-26 season as the stand won’t be ready at the start, bit of a trial run with no guarantees
The simple solution to that would be to allow members to join the cup scheme. It wouldn't disadvantage ST holders as they already have priority on whether to join.
I can see why the cup schemes are losing subscribers. We are generally getting to the QFs of at least two cups each season. It adds up. And if you have a lot of points - you will get a ticket for a Wembley final anyway. The advantage of the cup scheme is access to the away matches.

Just saw this after posting my comment. I agree 100%

It's obvious why the club & the majority of Epl clubs are moving away from seasoncards. They want the fans who come once & spend more in the club shop & catering than they do their ticket. The flexi gold is probably aimed at those who are only interested in the top 6 teams

It's far enough in the future for limited information to be OK, but that will change rapidly and we need clear, unambiguous information when decisions have to be made. Unfortunately we don't have a good record when it comes to making details clear.
I personally think that shortly us on East level 2 and Colin Bell level 2 will get priced out to use for hospitality at sky high prices

I saw the last 20 minutes of Roma vs Inter on Sunday during which the Roma ultras were at the front of Curva Sud constantly waving large flags as shown in the short clip below:

The best photo I could find of Roma fans was from a different game but it gets the visual point across that it is their end of Stadio Olimpico:

Whereas having just a few rows at the back of the new North Stand gives the opposite message, so I can well understand why 1894 are very sceptical about moving.
