North Stand Expansion

To counter this. Here are some examples of issues we have in the South Stand currently:

Notice the 'posh' seats above the Definitely Manchester banner - not participating.

Here is another. Seats above the Power and the Glory banner - empty (because they are overpriced.

We often see away fans or neutral fans in those sections. We find that they do not sing or generate noise at the same level as other blocks.

These seats are in a very important location to link up the upper/lower tier. If fans on those rows are not singing/contributing to the atmosphere, our job as 'SUPPORTERS' will be more difficult.

The GA+ seats can go anywhere else in the stadium. If we truly want an 'Atmospheric Home End', then premium seats shouldn't really be included.

We have put some ideas forward to the club:

1 - Move those seats elsewhere in the stadium.
2 - Do not group seats together. Allow any individual in NSL2 to pay premium prices for access to the bars/amenities - but once you're in the stand, you're the same as everyone else and you should sing/contribute to the atmosphere.
Well said @Manchester33 you are so spot on with your analysis, loads of other clubs have proper home ends like Liverpool, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace where the home end helps generate noise for the rest of the ground. The Yellow Wall has shown the world what atmospheric home end can do for a team, Pep and the Chairman have said they want a blue wall but for whatever reason certain people in the club are going the opposite direction. Doing what is planned now is like putting the tunnel club in the middle of the Yellow Wall at Dortmund.

You should show these pictures to the club when you speak. They presents the points very well.

The Crystal Palacce "home end" is a joke with a very small group of happy clappys in two blocks. Don't believe the social media propaganda.

Found on LinkedIn. Looks as though the first temp roof support is going in.

Palace have got more of a nucleus of singers than we have, and that’s saying something.

I find it strange that anyone would criticise singers, regrdless if they are normal fans, ultras, or are in a singing section. Songs have to start somewhere, regrdless of where that is in the stand or which group of fans starts the the songs off.

At least with Palace they have a proper and organised singing section with anywhere between 50-100 singers ‘all stood together in the centre of the lower tier’. Compare that to our singing section, which isn’t really a singing section, as 115 is full of fans who do sing, sing every now and again, don’t sing at all, and moan at 1894 members for doing displays, as well as being spread out all over 115 and across SSL1.

There has never been the opportunity to get all the singers together in SSL1 as the seats are either season ticket seats or match day ticket sales. NSL2 gives us the last genuine opportunity to create a proper singing section in one area of NSL2 where all the singers can congregate and stand next to each other.
