I think that would be down to opinion because I think George could easily do a job for us, never underestimate desire and passion.Why ? We don't have enough DM players as it is, Evans isn't going to be a long term part of the squad, nowhere near good enough.
Fernando showed on Saturday that he's more than good enough to stay, at least till the summer.

I know clubs traditionally pay a premium for January signings, but assuming we are getting Pep, and know what targets he wants. I would be tempted to try and get one of his targets if possible.
Summer brings the Euros and the new PL money. Clubs are likely to demand more money for our targets.

Didn't think Evans was up to much a year ago but he's come on a lot. Showed he was up to it on the tour and has been fantastic on loan and in his cup game.
He definitely deserves a chance in the first team at least.
If he's really not good enough move him on in a season or two but he deserves that chance.
Not saying I'd sell Fernando though, Evans is on loan until the summer now.

I'd like us to make a couple of really canny signings but I don't think we are up to it. Our current selection process has largely not lived up to expectation (Mangala, Fernando,Bony,Navas ). At the price we paid I could have signed (Otimendi,KDB and Stirling) -so I guess we'll wait for Pep to take it on....

Move Fernando out, bring in Evans and perhaps use the foreign space for Villa.
If we move on Bony as well we'd have some wriggle room if anyone became available.
