Nottingham Forest (A) | Post Match Thread

I love popping into these threads every now and then - it's comedy gold. it wasn't a bad team selection - we didn't finish our chances - and it cost us - end of! I'd love to know the football managerial qualifications of some that support our team? HR, health and safety/call centre employees/fast food flippers need not appy for the job - because like me, you're not qualified. We can all sound off - that is our entitlement - but often-times football is about wasted chances. Nothing more - nothing less. We have to comment on conjecture 'because' we're not privvy to see those who train well day in and day out and those who don't. I think Pep made that entirely clear in his last press conference. Football Manager 2023 and the real world dynamics are miles apart. Once you realise this you may be able to be a bit more rational, and hopefuly sleep well at night - without the protection of that manky comfort blanket.

Yes but after doing the hard bit on Wednesday and everyone being ecstatic as a result, today was a huge disappointment. We can try and twist it and dress it up as much as we like, it was a gutter.
Particulately with the simple chances we missed. That’s on the players. Can’t blame Pep for the easy misses but perhaps some blame attaches to him and coaches for players not being able to use their weaker foot and for Eddies overall performances this season, which remind me of Bravo when every shot went in. I know to many Eddie is beyond critisism but this season he has been average at best. How many of the shots NAVAS saved would Eddie have saved?

Yeah, what that guy said.

It was a freak game really, thank God Bernie's shot went in because it was looking like a we could play until midnight and not score kind of day. I hope Pep stops sticking Bernardo at left back. As for Eddie I've lost all faith in him. He has turned into Martyn Martegson and I fear a goal everytime anyone has a shot or header at him. That being said the goal wasn't his fault. We can't stop crosses coming into our box or defend them properly when they do.

If you’re blaming Ederson for that today, to put it bluntly fuck off everybody has been crying out for Foden he was shite, as were both Haaland and KDB the only two I’d give marginal credit were Rodri & Dias.

That goal should have been a consolation not an equaliser.

Ps I’ve had 10+ pints sorry for any grammar issues.

Foden definitely wasn't shit for a player who's been out for a lot of this season thought today was the best I've seen him in a while looked a threat every time he touched the ball wasn't scared to take pepole on his final ball wasn't always up to what he should have been but that will improve with more game time

A totally dominant display, but too many missed chances and Foden not squaring to Haaland for a tap in was the worst of the lot. Pep has to shoulder the blame for the equaliser, without a shadow of a doubt he should have sured up the defence last 10 minutes when Forest started to push on. If Ake would have been introduced at left back that equaliser doesn’t happen cos Bernardo sold himself which lead to the goal. We go again ‍♂️

Laporte also massively sold himself. Then stood there like a limp dick as the forest player literally waltzed past him like he wasn’t there.

Terrible defending.

If we PLAY like that for the rest of the season, we will win silverware!

If we FINISH like that for the rest of the season, we will win nothing!

Most dominant 1-1 draw you will ever see…and I said that when it was 1-0!

Hope Pep lauds the players and the performance. We were brilliant…apart from that one thing…..
“This is football!”

"It was a really good game," Guardiola told Match of the Day. "We did everything, we played perfectly, had amazing chances, we were going to see the game out, we couldn't believe it, but this is football. You have to score.

;-)
