It's a give-and-take when you put Ake at LB. Do we get more solid defensively? Yes.. but do we lose attacking output? I'd say yes as well. Walker doesn't give you much on the other side on top of that.

I think we producing more chances over these last few games because Bernardo is in that position and stepping into attacking positions helping us in that regard. With Ake that goes out the window leaving more responsibility for the attacking players to do it on their own.

I'm not sure what the answer is tbh.. but that's why Pep gets paid a hell of a lot of money.
I get what you say but surely on balance Ake was what was required yesterday midway throught the half.

So tika taka has given us the most successful glorious era imaginable. Love Pep and will be forever grateful. But after days like yesterday I do yearn a bit for the keegan days and the shit or bust attack attack attack fast and speedy play from Ali, Berkovic, Sweep, Huckerby and the Goat.

Just another game that we couldn’t finish off must be the 3 or 4 game we have had this season where opposition get a goal with one shot on target , but can’t dwell on it we need to keep going even if we can’t win it just to keep rags at bay

Yesterday, Villa (a) and Everton (h).. all finished 1-1

We had 70 to 80% possession and the opposition had one shot on target

Watching that game yesterday was spooky, I'm trying to remember which one it reminded me of but there have been a few. Old ground packed with baying locals, totally dominate, miss countless chances, score, can't add to it then concede with their first attack. Was it Burnley away when Sterling missed that sitter on the goaline?

We've won 4 league title with him in net you fucking loon.
We win titles because we dominate teams and our defence is solid and we hardly give the opponents chances now what would we be like if we were getting peppered ween in week in ganes and ederson had to be the main man . Sorry but I’m not a fan and as I said before I don’t think he is not a patch on a prime joe hart .

I get that but it’s a team game. One player letting the system down can be said, but when we have so many chances then we shouldn’t alienate a player when there was little chance of a save anyway.

Was that goal Ederson’s fault or was it a team mistake?
I don’t blame him for today but I have no confidence in him when he is called on either .

Recorded the highlights from Sky last night (not the full 90 minute version). Is it wise to put myself through the agony?

we get games like this all clubs do so lets push on,it was always going to come down to the two games versus Arsenal,we crack on and beat them as we will do no doubt and the 2 points deficit will be recovered at some point, playing well no,champions yes

btw did anyone laugh up when they subbed in a player called Mangala.
I had to have a look at him, is this our Mangala maybe or wtf lol.
gosh what a flop.
That's Orel Mangala.

Our Mangala is currently without a club I think. Last played for Saint-Etienne in 2022.

Foden definitely wasn't shit for a player who's been out for a lot of this season thought today was the best I've seen him in a while looked a threat every time he touched the ball wasn't scared to take pepole on his final ball wasn't always up to what he should have been but that will improve with more game time
I cannot agree. Foden flattered to deceive. There was no sharpness to his play and it is easy to see why Pep has not regularly picked him.

To me the turning point in the game was where he totally fluffed it when two on one on goal with Haaland. It gave Forrest hope and sowed doubt that we would score a second.

Nearly all season, for whatever reason, Phil Foden has plateaued for City and England. It happens to young players and Phil needs to rebuild his confidence and desire by hard work and concentrating on doing the simple things well. Hopefully he can realise his potential as one of the best prospects in world football.
