I was with Creation on a freebie. I remember Peter Hooton, the singer from Echobelly and then Noddy Holder telling me the beer was free. Second night. Went on the pitch for the gig as blagged a mate in pretending he should have been on the list. Couldn't get him upstairs though.

There’s been rumours of 10 nights at the Etihad and 4/5 nights at Knebworth as well as a European tour next summer for ages. If they keep on performing like that last night I don’t see why they wouldn’t do it. Prioritise season ticket holders for one gig please lads.

The Etihad was worse imo, Inchy. I went to the Saturday at Heaton Park and enjoyed it. People were just euphoric at them coming back and you could not hear Brown sing as the crowd was so loud.
It was just full of coked up idiots, all pushing and kicking off, at the Etihad.

Our kid went to the Etihad gig.. hated it for the reasons you’ve mentioned

Tried explaining to a few Chinese mates that Liam is not the shiniest apple on the cart and that he was likely not thinking. The level of abuse and accusations of racism-sympathiser was astounding. You can't defuse something when emotions are high. Really took the shine off the excitement of a great comeback.

Did they set a low limit on the amount of pitch tickets then? There seems to be a lot of space there.

I think they do now.

Not surprising when you look at scenes like this from the Etihad gig 20 years ago. Could easily have led to deaths this. They stopped the gig as a barrier broke.
