Playing Manchester Academy at the height of their Toxicity wave holding 2,500 in 2002, now play Spurs Stadium having done nothing for 20 years.

Load of similar examples of coming back on a wave of nostalgia and being far bigger than they were at the time, not just Brit Poppers who can do it.

Noel must be delighted that they're having their best run since '96 while System Of A Down and Radiohead are having complete meltdowns.

Radiohead have to be one of the most overrated bands I think I have ever witnessed.

Artistically exceptional, not going to deny that, but good grief, I feel depressed after I listen to an album or even a single record.

They were favoured much more so by the middle and educated class as an embellishment in their lives, whereas for the working man, Oasis offered a resonating message and glimmer of happiness in their lives. It's why the nostalgia is so big with the reform and people wanting to chase back those few odd occasions of happiness that occured back in the 90's/00s.

Add in them being a symbol of counter-culture, fashion, brother story. It's a recipe for success and a product many can get behind, even if you never lived it back then.

Fantastic song as is the original by Joan Armatrading. Was watching old tracks by her last night. Great songwriter and superb voice. Willow and Down to Zero briliant tracks. Anyway back to Oasis!!

Think they've always been big in Europe, South America and the Far East.

North America, pretty sure they always rubbed them up the wrong way.

However, if you listen to some big U.S. acts like Metallica, they speak highly of being blown away by their look and approach in the '90's.........

System Of A Down are in the middle of a world stadium tour, doing Tottenhams next year. Radiohead are doing 5 nights at the O2. Wouldn't say either are having a meltdown

Not really a fan of his solo stuff, but I really like this one. It was played as his warm up song before Heaton Park and Murrayfield.

Wouldn’t say dwarfing- but it’s a fair shout. Coldplay are ‘bigger’ globally and more reach appeal to younger audiences.
