Sorry guys but did try to tell you a while ago that Eto'o and his agent are not to be trusted.

They use rich clubs just about every year to get his terms and conditions improved at Barca, sure if you did some digging you'd find he'd had talks with someone last year and probably the year before.

Eto'o is 28 and a free agent next season, I believe, why would he now leave the CL holders and go to anyone?

He knows full well clubs like us and others will pay him a fortune next season as he is a free agent and he will still only be 29, in fact if Barca aren't in line to win all again come January window then don't be shocked if the talk of him leaving comes up again.

He and his agent unfortunately are all that is bad in football ....... me me me me me

Please fuck off you plagiarizing twat.

You mean, you reposted something here that Spursmad posted on COYS?

No idea who he is or what coys is but fairly sure he has said Eto'o would sign, I have always said him and he agent are users

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

Silly move even if we get Eto, our strike force is good enough. Its the rest of the team that needs sorting. This publicity gives Everton the right to screw us over Lescott. The kind of wallet were flashing around its no wonder were getting mugged.

Interestingly, nobody has stated an 'acceptance' of the bid yet

That's an extremely good point. City haven't even confirmed that there has been a bid, although the club's lack of a denial would suggest there has been one. Barca are definitely trying to get rid by saying what they said yesterday so it's clear they want to accept but Eto seems to want to stay where he is. He would presumably have a mega pay day coming if he stuck it out for one more year at Barca and that is complicating things for all concerned, I think.

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

The biggest thing in our favour is that Barcelona want to sell him NOW, they want to use the money to bring in Villa & will be panicking at the thought of Eto'o leaving for nothing next summer.
They don't even seem to want to him Eto'o a new contract, they want him gone, regardless of the stuff that is being reported.

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

Well that's partly the remit of the agent, no? To get the best contract possible for their client. I see nothing wrong with that.

Technically you're right but its not very edifying and I really do think we need to insist on a news black out in future.

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

Personally i think he will be a city player in the next few days.

He wants his loyalty bonus but barca dnt wanna pay but the wages signing on fee ect will be too good to turn down and will push him towards city.

Also i think city will say to barca we will pay half of the bonus and they can pay the other half, but if it comes to it i think city would pay the full amount for the bonus because of how much we need the player for simple reasons like making us a real force and a great team.

Also we would make the 10 million back in shirt sales all over the world especially in africa.

Thats just my opinion.

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

My brother-in-law works at City and he has just told me Eto'o signed for us last Friday. Laporta revealing we have made a bid yesterday, and the subsequent comments of his agent is an agreed PR stunt to show that Barca didn't want him to leave and they did try to keep him.

I am not one to post speculation normally, just passing on what I have been told. He has not told me crap before and is not normally wrong.

Sounds a little far fetched but I hope he is right!

Why the hell would his agent call a press conference in front of all the worlds press tomorrow, to say the same thing that has supposedly been said today!?

PR shenanigans.
