The press release says "clarify his future". Has anyone thought that its to say hes leaving Barca? Also if this is true and people are dicking us around perhaps its time to stop being the nice guys and falling into line. The owners of this club are the most powerful on the planet perhaps its time to stop pissing about and going all Real Madrid "We WILL SIGN THIS PLAYER!" etc. We cant let the big boys intimidate us anymore because we could frankly buy their club burn it and piss on the ashes.

don't be so soft. if eto'o chooses to stay at barca then what can we do ? city haven't gone public on this deal at any stage. and any itk claims have obviously come out because of assurances from the player and his people. garry, the club and our ITKs can hold their heads high.

Why? People say city ruining football etc. They aint seen nothing yet. Lets crank this up a notch and offer Messi 400,000 a week, see how Barca etc react. Im sick of being told where to sit in the line and que.

sorry have to disagree.

We are punching above our prestige and there is nothing we can do about that until we "arrive"

Any deal like this the odds are against us cash or not. We are being used by players and clubs alike.

If we want players like this we just have to stick at it ride the greif from the press and eventually it will happen. what can cook do if we get let down by a player. Even if we have confidentiallity agreements in place when it goies tits up (which it might not have) there is little we can do

If he decides to stay at Barca not only does it look shite for us in the media but unless Cooks "surprise" is Messi it really buggers up this whole new web launch thing!

Well it has leaked quickly and will be resolved quickly so hopefully not.

I see the greedy **** line is now being used in some peoples posts. People need to realize how we are attracting him here.
