Maybe I'm a pessimist but I can see this failing and us not ending up with Eto'o. I reckon it's part of being a City fan, even when we should be as confident as ever I still can't manage it!!
I will say though Eto'o staying at Barca for another 12 months is a loss for us, and a loss for Barca. Eto'o clearly doesn't want to be there, so won't be at 100%, and he'll get to leave for free next season, so that's £25m Barca won't be getting. It's in their best interests to try and convince Eto'o to accept out offer.
Maybe I'm a pessimist but I can see this failing and us not ending up with Eto'o. I reckon it's part of being a City fan, even when we should be as confident as ever I still can't manage it!!

This is just one newspaper report in Spain that SSN and all the pundits are just parroting, Ballague certainly does not have anyone on the inside on it, he offered nothing more than what was reported. It makes me laugh how these guys basically have a career in making it sound as though they know more than they do, when in fact they know fuck all.

I remain my opinion. It's probably off, unless Man City say something today.
Although I'm not a City fans, I really want to see Eto'o in the premier and come to eastlands. There is another reason he might well come and that's the whole African charity side of it. If that is his motivator then who better to play for than the richest club in the whole wide world?

Spent so much time reading on here... only just got about to writing my first post!!.. lol
All these big money transfers seem to hit some sort of glitch along the way. Personally... regardless of the outcome, the club has made another statement of intent. Same with the Kaka deal... we've been on the back pages of most newspapers for a while now, and everything that is written, good or bad, will raise the profile of the club.

All these big money transfers seem to hit some sort of glitch along the way. Personally... regardless of the outcome, the club has made another statement of intent. Same with the Kaka deal... we've been on the back pages of most newspapers for a while now, and everything that is written, good or bad, will raise the profile of the club.

City have made a bid - As yet not accepted or rejected - the agent is holding a press conference tomorrow (for what we dont know!, could be confirming the move) - Spursmad says its done (not been wrong yet)

Also just a question for some in the knows, is it GC that is trying to keep a lid on the reckless spending? Cos from what ive heard and Im certainly know ITK, the chairman etc have basically said to him this summer "I dont care what it costs get me a top 5 player".
