Difference between City and Top 4 is "wanting it more"

The draw today was as good as a loss considering its at home and we got just 1 point from a 2 goal lead in the 2nd half.

When the top 4 are level or behind with 10mins to go they throw everything up front. They opposing teams are always under serious pressure.

We were making back passes to Given and spreading the ball around between the back 4. What the hell is that going to do?

Sorry but when the top 4 go 2 goals up in the 2nd half its a totally different mentality, much less when the game is tied with 10mins to go, just look at Liverpool - UTD today. Both were going after the win and not settling for the point. Not that we were settling for the point either...but we never looked like scoring after the game went 2-2.

2 points lost today and 6th place instead of 3rd, not a point gained.

2 DM at home? Why?

Can you not see what's in front of your own nose? Adebayor looks like the player the Gooners said we were getting, De Jong is a real little battler with lots to admire but he's one dimensional, Tevez is just Dickov on steroids. Lescott struggled for pace today and as a unit our back four look well dodgy. I can't believe the blind optimism in this thread of some people, this is the knee jerk reaction thread! Not the stick by our team through the tuff times thread!

hugely disappointed by giving up 2 goal lead- as we all are- but some of the negative shite on here is ridiculous. We,re in a much better, stronger position than last year. Rags, chelsea + arsenal have all had blips + suprise losses- but are they all being written off? Are they fuck. And neither should we be. Agreed, we ain.t title winning material (yet) but we,re 9 games in with another transfer window to come + pots of money to spend. So all the grim reapers should wind their necks in and give the team a chance.

1 win in 5, this wasn't so unexpected. I never thought our squad was good enough realistically for top 4 but must admit I was beginning to get carried away. Top 6 is still where I think we'll end up - maybe lower if we can't sort out defending set pieces. Certainly this defence is not good enough to make us top 4.

Well said mate,
Just because we spent that much on defence doesn't mean that not one striker will get in or they won't have a shot at goal, people make mistakes, Lescott didn't ask City to pay 24m for him, we all know he's a better player then how he's been doing.

Our defence is nowhere near top 4, we need a new RB and we need the CB to click.

Looks a good team. Its about time that Ireland came into the game. 1 DM is enough as the 2DMs of late has lacked creativity.
