Official Match Thread - west ham v city

West Ham are no worse than us, to expect a win every week is arrogance unknown outside of Liverpool/Trafford/Surrey/Taiwan and Dublin.

As I said before, had we been in form lately we'd have applauded todays effort but as things stand we over react every time we fail to take all 3 points.

Sorry but how can you just say its a bad day at the office and we were unlucky? We have won one away match all season and that was in August FFS!

Ah yes, standard Bluemoon melodrama. Predominantly from those who've been supporting us for about 5 mins.
We were good for a point today. We ran things in the second half and their goal came from a break and a (very rare) error from Given.
Cue hysteric replies...

Bollox . listened to gmr fred ayer said we havent troubled robert green an that after 70 mins is he a bluemoon melodramatist
to why can fans come on here and critasise the teams performance without being slagged off

if your happy with our away performances then fair enough but other fans arnt !!

Our away form is very poor, no doubt about that. But recent performances on the whole have smacked of very definite progress.

True, we didnt lie down and die today like we have in the past, small progress I suppose but progress never the less.

Watched it on the internet, we were piss poor again. And still the excuses keep coming for this clown. Fantasy Island most of you!

Well Fred Eyre must have forgot about Robinho's little effort that forced Green to make a good save. and he was on-side no matter how much Green shouts at the ref.

The three holding mids worked decently well against Liverpool last week. Today it was a disaster. City looked utterly clueless the second they found themselves in West Ham territory. Completely devoid of attacking ideas. It wasn't until West Ham got the goal and sat back defensively that City were able to enter its attacking third with any real sense of purpose.

It was disheartening watching City get bossed around by an inferior side to the extent they were today. I lost track of how many balls were given away carelessly without any defensive pressure. Miraculously, it could be argued that the five best chances of the match all belonged to City. Unfortunately, the shooting accuracy was as appalling as that miserable display we saw at Stoke. 15 shots, only one on target.

In the end, it was another blown opportunity to move into seventh place. It's amazing to think someone like West Ham, Fulham, or Wigan could finish ahead of City, but time is running out to set things right.

So you think that performance is acceptable ????

No I dont, but how many more games will it take before some home truths are finally faced.

So far on here, Bridge, Zab, Bellamy, Kompany, and Given, all signed by Hughes for a great deal of cash, together with Dunnie an Caicedo are to blame.

Stop blaming the players for having to play a system that does not work, it will not matter if we spend another £500 million on new faces, or who they are.

Same old, same old..........nothing really changes.
We were bloody awful yet again on our travels.
