The game was shite to me - personally i dont think we played that well and the crowd reflected what they saw on the pitch

must admit was very pissed off by attendance... there wasnt even 23.5k, thats just people in the cup scheme for the points, and are automaticlly counted. there was about 20 fans in south (including myself) who made much of an effort for an atmosphere, and although i understand work commitments etc, ive sure a fair few thousand people just couldnt be arsed. and no im not saying "im a bigger fan you", im just saying in a european competition a half empty coms is embarrasing

Take into account the opposition and it is totally understandable imo.

FC Timawotsit were awful and punters knew they were going to put 10 men behind the ball against a second string City side.

Exactly, who would pay to see a us play a team who have the equivalent of football's Great Wall of China?? No one wants to see that sort of football and it is the exact sort of football that is killing the UEFA Cup's reputation. In truth tonights game was pointless against a team we have never heard prior to when we were drawn against them

I think the team has to play their part by playing reasonably attacking fluent football - it was plated at walking place

Barely 3 days ago you watched the blues destry liverpool in a full stadium with a great crowd roaring them on & all you can do is slag the fans off because it wasnt the same tonight. Wish you miserable twats would give it a rest you do the club no good.

tbh i think atmosphere is a big part of how the team play. its no coincidence on liverpool the atmosphere was great and the team responded accordingly. imagine is the sheikh had come to this game... hed of been embarrased
