Playing left back, if a good winger gets a run at him, he'll get skinned because he's slow on the turn. But his skill on the ball allows him to keep things tight on his side and not many wingers manage to run at him very often. Or Delph for that matter. But he could be got at for sure. I like watching him as it happens. If you see what I mean.

I'm not sure he needs to bulk up. I think he could ply there as is. At least in a Jorginho type role. I'd love to see it done.
He probably could, but bulking up a little bit definitely wouldn`t do him any harm

He is a genuine talent with fantastic technique and slick movement off the ball. He is vulnerable to pace and that's a shame because, in a full back role, it's a prerequisite. I would like to see him in a more central role.

Unlike @Easy I'm glad he stayed, I think he will eventually force his way into our team, he has a special talent, and he's learning from the very best (players and coaches), I'm glad he's patient it will do his career more good than leaving City. If he got the chance of a loan in January for more games, he should take it, but leave he should not.

You do the kid,and his talent, huge injustice. He's not simply a '3rd choice left back' as his ability lends itself to playing him in several positions when required. He's a brilliant utility type with a seemingly great attitude, the perfect squad player, who will only improve.

You are both implying there is room for him in the squad but the facts say there isn’t but ok.

He’s a talent just not a world class talent. He’s 22 this year, not 18. So he really should be playing consistently.

Missed the 2nd half due to no stream. Can anyone post a gif of the half volley crossfield pass to Mahrez that people seem to be talking about?

whilst it was a delight to watch foden last night and was defo MoM , the oxford fans around me wanted to know about zin and were more impressed by him

How many midfielders/attackers can be deployed to LB and do a fair/solid job there for a reasonable period of time?

I have nothing but praise for this lad because he has exceeded expectations in LB as people thought he would be an outright and obvious flop. Now imagine how well he could do if he gets the opportunity to play in a position that maximizes his skill set?

The problem is that he isn't good enough to play in our squad in the position that maximizes his skill set. That's the whole debate of why he should or stay or leave.

You'll never know pally, you'll never know if he would one day become as good as required.
