nobody got fooled by alan balls appointment
Exactly. We knew we were getting someone who got the job because hewas someone's mate not because of his achievements. The fans weren't fooled and we're not fooled about Pratt's appointment either.

Likewise with Hughes and his staff.

Likewise with EVERY manager and his staff. Managers appoint people they know and trust to their coaching staff, why can't people get their heads around that?

Are some of you suggesting the manager has to take account of the fans petty prejudices when appointing his coaching staff? Get real FFS.

well done lads. this must be our greatest overreaction ever. the possibility of bellamy signing was a cracker, but this....

And by the same token, I ask you to show me the proof of the past career of Battaga as he first joined Inter in the same situation.
Who? Is he relevant to City? If not I don't give a flying fuck.

Do you mean Roberto Bettega? If so he's not a coach but more of a director.

Sorry, confusing typo, I meant Battara

They were a well-established coaching team before they came to us. Mancini has never worked with Pratt or Lombardo as coaches. Big difference.

That's an interesting question. At the 2007 AGM, Stuart Pearce was asked about the rumours that he was thinking of signing Roy Keane. Pearce replied that he was a good player and he would certainly be interest if he was available but that he would not do anything that would upset the fans.

And these are more than petty prejudices. We're raising very serious concerns about his suitability, motivation and record.

As i type this the YaYa Toure signs thread is dropping down the page with 7 pages on it...whilst This David Platt tread has 67 pages

I honestly think that says a lot about why Pearce won't succeed as a manager.

If people can't bring themselves to back the manager's judgement - regardless of personal dislikes - I wonder why they bother attending matches. Platt won't be the first coach at City that I don't like but it's Mancini's call and I'll live with it if it helps the club succeed.
