Our Club is changing

If Christian ever tuned up at one of our games,I'd personally remove him myself. You have to draw a line somewhere.

yeah all this is fine, new fans are great ( i myself am not a manc and not english). all im concerned about is that i had one chinese family next to me first half and a different chinese family in the 2nd. this is very worrying, and an example of how the club is changing, they must be selling half tickets just to make more money, shameful.

Hopefully we picked up a large base of support on our US tours.

A friend of mine is an American football coach in Dallas and his son seems to have developed a love for us,I was amazed he'd even heard of us.
City gets quite a lot of air time here relatively speaking. Every one of our preseason matches was on television here this year. That's saying something to be honest.

There would not be anything near 40k at the ground if it were not for outsiders and glory hunters. Nearer to 35k if lucky.

What a load of bollocks. We've sold over that number of season tickets alone.

Not to mention we've only averaged under 40,000 (and barely) in one season since moving to Eastlands, and that was when Pearce was making our fans suicidal with his brand of football.

Average attendance of 46,834 in the 03/04 season (still our highest average to date), what glory were people hunting then? LOL.

And only locals buy season tickets you think :-)

I don't want them.

Give me 40,000 real fans and 8,000 empty seats any day.

Hate glory hunters, always have at United and not gonna change now we're getting some.

Fortunately your view doesn't count for jack. Do you think our owner doesn't want to see us self sufficient or would you rather he kept putting cash in to spare your sensibilities, oh and the small case of ffp, not to mention how cool it will be when we can do that.

Many countries dont treat football like we do, like its mentioned the Spanish go now, they like good football and since they are at uni here we play some of the best in the land, seems reasonable to me they come to watch.
Casual fans do not eat sleep drink footy like many of us do, but find it a great pastime. When im in the USA and go to sports event there for example, you get welcomed warmly and non of the hardcore fans they have say a bad word (they are more interested in chanting for the team they support not worrying about others).

I welcome them myself, i consider myself a proper fan but would welcome chatting with say a barca fan who chose to come and watch us play because he was studying here say.

If you can understand some people treat it as a nice thing but not needed for them to exist then you will see they are not such a bad proposition especially if they support us, buying a city mug or scalf, it all helps.

Example: next year 3 spanish brothers i know (used to err know their mum rather well) will all come to uni in manchester, i bought and sent them City tops due to the fact they called me asking all about city "Will you show us where to buy tickets so we can watch Silva, Is David playing well, Did Kun score etc etc" all this interest is from 3 Barca supporting lads yet they are more interested in us atm and not arsed about the rags.
Ill be taking them to many games and hope they are well recieved by other blues.
well good luck getting them tickets mate I think you will struggle !!!

A couple of Eastern European lads turned up 15 mins after kick-off on Wednesday night (to the typical City humour of "what time do you call this?")

At half time one of them turned to me and asked "why are those fans segregated" he was pointing to the Brum fans.

I very nearly replied "because they asked silly questions!"

Don't get me wrong I'm all for increasing our fan base and I'll be the first to welcome new fans with open arms. I was just a bit taken aback by having to explain the seating structure of the Etihad stadium.

I may apply for a job as tour guide at MCFC?
