Walker just needs to keep things simple and that includes trying to join up with stupid passes into midfield, he can't do it. Give it back to Stones or Dias, rinse and repeat.

It is actually Cancelo on the other side who worries me more, though, he will always have problems against a tricky guy like Di Maria.

Bernie needs to be on Veratti like lightning, they will be desperate for quick out ball through the middle.

What I have found quite surprising playing against teams from France in recent seasons, is how poor their fitness levels seem to tail off during the final 20 minutes?

To force them out wide (Neymar and Mbappe) we'd have to play a double pivot and this really makes me shiver.

i don't think we can keep them out tonight and they have 1 very good forwards and neymar ? he is be the most annoying cheating person ever to play the game. the fake rolls and dives are a problem in and around the box and city will do well to cut them out

it could happen if united took them apart and can they match the fitness and running power of city

Chelsea looked excellent last night for large parts of the game, but i think thats more to do with how poor madrid are. In the FA Cup i think a lot of the result came down to us and how we lined up and played rather than hw good chelsea are. That being said, Tuchel deserves a lot of credit for turning them around the way he has.

Yeah cant argue with any of that mate but if we went full strength against them Id fancy us and like you say Madrid are not as good as they once was.

The main thing is that we need to push up really high so Walker has enough space to deal with Mbappé and whoever is pinging balls over the top doesn't have time to get them perfect.

Been thinking the same.People suggesting the team picks itself....true,until we bring the fullbacks into the equation.

I agree but we do have players on the bench who are potential match winners.
Jesus, Sterling and Aguero have all scored at this level and will all have a part to play over the two legs i think.

If we approach this like we did against Real Madrid last season we will be fine.

Yeah absolutely. That semi final was not in any way reflective of our best 11 and current form.

But I think both of them together will be too much for us. The pace of Mbappe will be very difficult for our defense to deal with. I can see us conceding 2 or 3 over the first 90 minutes. In prior seasons we may have been able to score that many ourselves. However, we've been weak offensively for some time and I think they will almost certainly outscore us over 180 minutes.

Haven't noticed that, but I have noticed that we win tons of games in the last twenty minutes.

Agree with a lot of what you say but can't help but think this is a game for Cancelo. Ultimately as a defender he's better than Zinchenko. That's what we need against Di Maria.
