Pep’s Spurs (H) Post-Match Interview

Pleasing to hear Pep put the boot into the leadership upstairs.

The Board of Directors must be quietly celebrating the ‘net spend trophy’, and half expecting an invitation for a lap of honour on the final day of the season.

It both annoys and amuses me that the Board endorsed the sale of Raz and Zinny without replacing them. I can hear them slapping one another on the back over a glass of port, and admiring one another’s business acumen and financial penny pinching.

While our Board celebrates the ‘net spend trophy’, Arsenal, Chelsea and the scum will be moving heaven and earth to overtake us.

City aspire to be the biggest club in the world. It’s time the Board actually took the gloves off financially, backed Pep to the hilt, and stop making Pep fight battles with one arm tied behind his back.

So good on you Pep!
I'm 100% sure that Pep wasn't calling them out for a lack of support with what he needs since from day 1 he has constantly told anyone that will listen how utterly brilliant his executive is. Do you think that Stirling, Gabby and Zinc were sold without his support?

We need to stop slagging the home fans off, not everyone is in their youth without commitments, not everyone can necessarily afford the away games either, plus most are sold out -so lets back off slagging our own fans off - it doesn't make you berty big bolloxs for doing the away day stuff - half of you are happy clappers who havent seen the shit times, so, think about it.

The higher up the stadium you go, the older people are, yeah, they don't sing every five seconds, so what they clap, they cheer....and could at least come up with a better song than ...Haaland, Haaland...is that it?

Pep was calling out fans without thinking that he hasn't had to pay to go to a game for donkeys years. He really needs to think about it. Most of us home fans have been going for years and will still be going long after Pep and the current crop of players have gone. Also does he not realise that those brilliant away fans we have are also home supporters. I wasn't happy when he had a go at us last season and I wasn't pleased the other night.

The new chants are shit anyway.

If I hear that god awful “follow follow” song one more time I’m going to cut up my virtual season ticket.

This smells very rag’ish.

My only issue with him criticising the home fans is he cannot really claim it is something he hasn't experienced for decades at barca which even in El Clasico is tame and silent and the place is half empty for many league games.

We have our poor atmosphere at times as do all Prem teams and his beloved Barca are one of the worst.

We are silent though and the Boos though people are entitled too were not by me

That's a fair point. Some of the sacrifices a lot of our supporters make to follow this team is admirable to say the least. Putting the booing to one side, fans are entitled to be pissed off now and then. I think tickets for the spurs match were 60-70 quid, fuel, freezing cold and all the rest of it. I'm taking what Pep said with a pinch of salt personally, but can see why people are a bit miffed with his comments.

so you let players like rico get hacked ad infinitum, as you say we get nothing off the refs, don't think so, a few home truths to the likes of that twat hojbjerb is ok by me and i want it

You have to be clever ? the players did defend Rico with the officials and spurs players, but It's when I fear city lose the plot and any game plans, and we leak goals in a short space of time,

The other thing his comments do is to give all the media outlets , who by the way don't need any encouragement, more ammunition to have a go at us. Dickheads like Gabriel Abonlahor and Danny Murphy don't need anymore excuses to have a go at us. I know I shouldn't be arsed with the bullshit they sprout but it still pissed me off.

Wow. Booing was for ref, not players.
injuries have resulted in an unsettled back 4.
I don’t feel used at all. Privileged to have seen football like I will never see again and that I have never seen before.
Used. Dont make me laugh.
You are entitled to your opinion but just wow.

I never said the booing was for the ref ? injuries, maybe that is why the changes in defence, but again Gomez is a left back and should be in with a right back and 2 centre backs,

what I was saying 4 bad results before the spurs game and pep said nothing then, unrest in the stands has been coming, right or wrong fans will make known they are not happy in what they are watching,

I understand the booing, I wouldn't boo because I can't believe what our team are doing staying in the prem was all I cared about when I was younger,

but it's been a decade of domination for us, that means a generation of fans have grown up who now go to home games. They've been watching City since they were kids be nothing but successful and play attractive football.

Of course they are going to boo when those standards are not met in their eyes because that's all they know is us being a top team, They don't remember us not challenging for titles or getting top 4.

This is what comes with success trophies and becoming a bigger global club like Sorriano and Khaldoon want.

I don't think Gomez will play again this season after his performance at Southampton. You are right the unrest has been bubbling under the surface fora while. Let's hope that second half against Spurs kick starts us again.

I wish he’d come a bit deeper at times and rotate a bit more with the front three players , Harry Kane does it superbly , hold the ball up , what’s certain is Harry Kane is technically better, as others have said , we just don’t use him properly, and we’ve had plenty of time to adapt to him , play balls through to him through the middle sometimes.
I’m sure his game will develop -
Look how agueros changed under pep
