Look at Ferguson's record and then consider how he fucked up the rags and left them when he 'retired'. They've still not recovered.

The bigger they are, the harder they fall.

If, as he suggests, Pep has been locking himself away searching for a solution for this slump, and still hasn't found one, I think it's time to accept that he's absolutely stuck in his system.

If he isn’t thinking seriously about walking away, he's probably lost the plot completely.
He should have left gloriously, with his reputation 100% intact, after we won the CL.

Four in a row already seems a very distant memory.
Every pundit and opposition fan are desperate for Pep to fuck off, we as City fans should not, in my opinion, be helping them by calling for his head the moment we have a poor run of form. He has earned the right for us to back him in rebuilding this side.

If he doesn’t rectify this and just walks then what, yes his record is unsurpassed but he has never ever faced something like this in his career
He is currently facing the ' yes but can he do it on a wet Tuesday night in Stoke' scenario. And needing a factory of umbrellas to stop the goal leaks ATM....

Still crying about losing to the rags, as the biggest day in the life of as City supporter , see .

I would rather change the entire team than sack Pep, he has proven over and over again that if he has a good enough squad, he delivers trophies. Every club in the world would dream of having him as their manager and cant think of a single option that wouldn't be a downgrade.
With that said, the results are currently not good enough an no one, including Pep, is above criticism.

I just think this "we should play the youngsters instead, cant play worse" argument is a bad one. They certainly could play worse and I think some seriously underestimate the enormous difference in level between youth and PL football, the highest level in the world. Especially since the ones arguing we should play the youth players instead have little to no idea of what level they are. For all we know they could be twice as bad as the players we want to see benched.

The solution is to replace these players with better ones, not worse ones.
I would of definitely given Jacob Wright a go at number six.

not sure how he searches for the solution of this slump when we see exact same thing every game, we are outdone and outfought in most games due to same things. laborious attacks that are very slow and does not scare defences and wide open trough midfield and defence is split open by a long ball or a just a deep pass into space. or our players do unforced gaffes giving opponents a lifeline and a big chance.

its not like he tries different things we lose games in a row in same way. players must be fed up especially our defenders. they really get no help that midfield front of them aint screening or stopping any run let alone any attack.

the fitness of the side is brutally shit now, we pushed off the ball, they just run past our players, the weak press we do makes them smile, while when they press us we make gaffes.

drop points vs Everton and Leicester too and we drop below likes of Brighton, Newcastle etc. we already let Arse, Chelsea, Forest, Villa front of us.

And I think that’s the problem lots are having, if Pep just put a couple of youngsters in and it failed then it’s not much different, at least Gundogan gets an extra week off, but if he just keeps doing g the same thing people lose their patience it’s inevitable. He has not changed it for 12 games, yes the injuries pile up but the back 4 needs protection and legs in front of it, the total opposite from what we have, put a youngster or two there at lest they might track back, then give it to the experienced players to go forward.

I've a simply rule in life, if these tosspots are for it.....

Man City urged to sack Pep Guardiola as crisis worsens with nightmare Aston Villa defeat

I'm against it.
sack him and the rags would immediately kick Amorim out and put all their resources towards signing him up

Seems like even record breaking success for 7 consecutive years don't buy even a month of struggle and failure. I mean, I feel embarrassed after reading some of the opinions here. The lack of gratitude is just staggering. Are we so soft that only 12 games made us forget the 300-400 games and 7 years of unprecedented success. The team is at its lowest and this is the time when we get behind the players and manager. Was so heartened to see the vociferous away support at Villa Park yesterday. PURE CLASS!

He’s not going to be sacked; if he leaves it will be his decision and likely in response to continued losses and a lack of any discernible improvement in performances.

Difficult to put a timeframe on such a scenario, but performances like we had in the second half yesterday - absolutely dire - suggest that things aren’t really improving and so it depends on Guardiola’s own appetite for it.

If he keeps playing the same way and refuses to change the system or try different/younger personnel, and getting the same results, at what point does he think that enough is enough?

One thing that doesn’t get discussed that much is the fact that he had actually decided to leave at the end of this season, and not renew his contract, before (ostensibly at least) the losses prompted a change in his decision.

I doubt whether he signed the contract for the right reasons and if he truly has the appetite and energy levels to rebuild the team given the level of change required.
