I think it was so important to make a top class signing every summer. This keeps players on their toes, adds change to the group and keeps standards.It is a great point and an honest one at that.

I like the idea suggested elsewhere of going back to 4 CBs, but that's risky given recent injury history for pretty much all of then.

I agree, I think top 4 is a must for us and I will be happy with that after the disruption the injuries have caused. If we don't start putting away some of our chances and tighten up defensively that could be a struggle though. Oh and whilst we are at it, that midfield - that really is the villain of the team.I think Pep has signed on because he's been promised new faces plus he wants to rebuild the team and maybe get one more champions league under his belt.

I think we'll come through it, you can never say never but we need something pretty spectacular to happen for us to get 5 in a row but personally I've resigned myself to the fact that top 4 will be good return for the obstacles we're trying to overcome.
