50-50 for me whether he’ll still be here next season.

You have to ask whether he signed the contract extension for the right reasons - his loyalty is admirable and what you would expect of him, but he seemed ready to call it a day before the events of the past month and he would have had his reasons for doing so.

Whatever is happening around the team certainly doesn’t appear to have been addressed by him signing an extension. And I’m sure there is some underlying issue, because the drop in performances from even a few months ago is absolutely startling.

one thing imo he learns now is the small squad and happy faces mantra. its better if we have a Jesus, Alvarez sitting a lot on the bench even with a crying bitch face but when playing helping us to trophies than not having those to come in when others are in dog shit form or injured making us overplaying players in bad form or hurrying back injured ones to get injured again.

especially that we knew that this season the fixture list is bigger due to competitions changes in CL and CWC, meaning more matches, more injuries while significant part of the squad is closer to 35 than 25.
