The way we are playing at the moment I'd suck Pep off if he asked me so just not booing the anthem when he asks isn't a problem.
Everyone drowning it out by shouting City, or singing Blue Moon etc is great for the team & all the fans can get together on it.
Instead, there could be a small number of people booing it, drowned out by the music, because most of the rest have stopped.
If we all get together on supporting the club, it will be louder than the booing & nobody will hear the anthem at all.
That's pretty much a perfect solution. Great idea.

Protesting about the preferential treatment of big clubs in the game's governing body is a huge positive, and sets us apart from the crowd for the right reasons. Do we aspire to be a blue Manchester United, and take our place in the cosy cartel that we once railed against? Or do we stand for the possibility that if you stand by your club then one day you can live the dream that we're now living? We've made it. we're now a big club, so lets pull up the drawbridge and take our place in the elite? Every club needs a raison d'etre that is bigger than winning trophies, and fighting for a more egalitarian approach from the sports governing body should be ours. Remember City fans used to protest against UEFA and now they're part of the cartel they're happy to play along, is not a particularly healthy reputation to acquire. He knows exactly what he's talking about.
The booing is a demonstration against UEFA not the fans backing City. If the main concern at the start of the game, is people protesting about the governing body rather than backing the team, it's a negative attitude, not a positive one.
He wants positive, not negative. He wants to attract people to the games, to support the team, not give them a good reason to stay away. He wants to win the competition.
Why can't all of us support City during the anthem & drown it out that way, rather than booing it ?
Or is it now a demonstration against Pep & the club ?
How is our booing helping UEFA?I agree with your frustrations totally however:
Booing NOW is helping UEFA
There is no impending FFP court defeat it was thrown out on a technicality 12 months ago. That's not to say it won't be challenged again.

But that's not what people are saying, they are suggesting drowning out the anthem with a positive chant supporting the team rather than negative booing. The message to UEFA is the same.Protesting about the preferential treatment of big clubs in the game's governing body is a huge positive, and sets us apart from the crowd for the right reasons.
