Thanks....I just posted the same one in blue moon forum
What about Lee Cattermole as the holding midfielder?
My sense is that Bernat is more a Pep guy than he is a Bayern guy. And once Ancelloti joins, if he reverts back to a base formation of Alaba as the LB, Bernat will be open to moving on to where he can be a starter. Following Pep to City makes sense. LB in Spain is getting ultra competive, with Alba, Azpiculetta, Nacho already vying for the spot, and Gaya being the heir apparent pushing to get in. Bernat if he has any national team aspirations has to move.As Bernat plays for Bayern Id expect we won't sign him as pep has already said we won't sign any of there players.
We have already been linked with Weigl and Sane as possible Pep targets. We have also had the interest confirmed by our in house itk (Ric) as we have with Christiano Paccini who is a right back at Betis. So by default if we sign 1 of the 2 linked centre backs Laporte or stones that would mean 2 central defenders would go to accommodate Denayer who deserves his chance.
Isco would be a no brainier and his new Iniesta for what could be £25-30 million.
As for a left back I'd imagine Gaya or Wendell are the best options out there and Pep would have a good idea of both but we would have to fight of Both Barca and Real for both.
Hey, no issue with it at all, and if some of these signings come off it will be a very, very interesting 3 years with Pep at the helm. Why malg? No doubt pep will want his own players and I see the following as out:
Yaya
Kolarov
Fernando
Demichelis
Caballero
Bony
Navas
Them players need replacing and pep will be under big pressure to succeed in England? I reckon that Chinese investment money was timed perfectly!!! ;-)
You forgetting about angelino, for sure this guy will be first choice left back real soonMy sense is that Bernat is more a Pep guy than he is a Bayern guy. That's why I'm almost certain about him pushing for a move if Pep asks.
Sane and Weigl, I like. I sense DeBryune will become our Mueller. a catalyst without a specific position. As for Isco, that seems permanently doomed. We had a slight chance this window had Madrid not fired their coach.
But Iscobis effusive about Zidane. And I reckon he is set as the CM for Real from now on. Either as Modric's eventual replacement or at AM ahead of a duo of Kroos/Kovacic/Modric.
James Rodriguez is actually the new one on the out, but I sense that is just for this season. He'd replace Cristiano once they move him on. Leaving a front. 3 of Bale, James and probably Lewandoski.
We are more likely to get a player like Odergard off Madrid than we are to get a Spaniard. Our chances at getting Pogba are also 50/50. It all depends
Sane, Bernat, and Larpote seem more likely to me.
I like your Wendell, Gaya suggestions. But I have a strange feeling Bernat is gonna be a City player. Clearly we are avoiding all Bayern players at present, as we just nabbed their manager. But once the rawness softens and Ancelloti starts analyzing his sqaud, I reckon Bernat will be remise not to move.
Wiegl I like too. But I don't like his situation. Just got to his new club this summer, hasn't fully settled yet, still a teen. The optics just seem off to me. Sure we might be in for him, and he might relish playing under Pep, but I think he's current Manager might just be the next great manager in football. Don't think it's in his best interest either. But we'll see.
Gundogan seems more likely. Wiegl is a great replacement for him and he has shown interest in moving.
So to my earlier 3, I'd reluctantly add Gundogan. Also I'm almost certain we wouldn't add more than 5 players. Probably 4, maybe 5/
LB, CB, and Winger (more Sane specific) a likely CM and at a push a 2nd winger, if he deems DeBryune a Central player.
I'd personally prefer Dybala over Benzema. But I like the players you picked as potential signings :-)IMO Pep will buy a LB, 2x CMs, FWD & a Striker.
He'll sell Kolarov, Yaya, Bony,
Demichelis will leave on a free.
GK--Hart, Willy, HG 3rd Keeper
DEF--Zaba, Sagna, Kompany, Otamendi, Mangala, Denayer, Clichy, New LB (Gaya?)
CM--Fernandinho, Delph, Fernando, New CM (Weigl?), New CM (Pogba?)
AM--Silva, Nasri, De Bruyne,
FWD--Sterling, Navas, New Forward (Sane?)
ST--Aguero, Nacho, New ST (Benzema?)
That's a 25 man squad. TBH I really don't see many out goings I think most will be given a chance. I put Benzema as I think Lewandowski is going to Madrid. Don't think we need to spend on the defence as the Midfield signings could improve the protection. My 5 signings are very gettable imo and I would be over the moon with them especially if we can get Pogba :)

I think he will be looking to get at least 3-4 midfielders in. Especially if Yaya and Fernando go. He absolutely loves his midfielders. It wouldn't surprise me if we got Xabi Alonso for a year. I also think Sane and Pogba will be high on his list
Gundogan. Fits every Pep criteria, injury permitting.
We can only have 21 non club trained players You have 23, by my reckoning.IMO Pep will buy a LB, 2x CMs, FWD & a Striker.

just your opinion or know something about it???? a MD of gundogan-dinho-pogba will be a joy to behold...
Just opinion. He's available, proved his recovery.
He is ideal for sitting at the base of the midfield, can make the transitions very quickly, and treasures the ball.
More importantly, he's much more realistic than a Verratti or Thiago, both who are simply not for sale and would cost upwards of £60m.
Gundogan was on his way to Barca until his back problem, so he fits the template we will have.
..........GUNDOGAN.....
.....POGBA........WEIGL...
