Phil and Jack on the lash?

Yeah fair, I get it, and they will know that as well. And the vast majority of the time they meet the expectation, and when they stray, 100% fair they get a firm slap on the wrist and reminder of what they are risking. Just that lads are lads from time to time and I can understand on a human level why these slips happen. Of course there are shades of grey here too and both have strayed to the indefensible/fuckwittery side of the line before now (e.g. Grealish drink driving and Foden’s behaviour on his first England call up).
This is the point. It is not the first time for either of them and Grealish is not a young lad anymore.

Hopefully, both Grealish and Foden have learned their lesson and won't do this again. I would have preferred that Pep kept this in house, but whats done is done.

Time for both players to knuckle down and do what they do best and play football.

Not wise and it's been dealt with by pep from a professional conduct point of view

On another note... Doesn't Phil have a new kid? Or at least Mrs is pregnant. Grealish Mrs is pregnant too, no? The virus is still novel, not enough study has been done on the long term effects on pregnant women and young children. At the moment it seems kids recover quick, but newborns are another story. Wouldn't risk it personally.

I think in normal circumstances you have to expect players in their 20s to have a bit of fun. But with Covid, their family situations, the busy schedule, etc. You have to think they've been a bit thick.

Some right Mary Whitehouse types on here - the Covid element applies fairly equally to all our other players if they’re out travelling/socialising full stop IMO. Of course it would be better if they all isolated but the club needs to mandate that if there’s that expectation and they don’t seem to have done so. Their offence in Pep’s eyes seems to have been to have had a few too many and piss about in training next day - absolutely fair they get slapped son the wrist, dropped and called out to make up for it, end of story. Of course he has to run a tight ship and stamp this stuff out, that part of his job I managing a bunch of young lads. Some of the statements on here going way too far. I swear all the riches etc aside, a very small part of me feels sorry for these lads who are expected to be consummate professionals at all times - I know I couldn’t do it.
I reckon 200k a week says you could :)

Grealish’s lifestyle off the pitch may explain why he looks so slow and fatigued after about 60 mins every game. Genuinely concerned we have a Wayne Rooney type on our hands with half the talent.

As for foden you are at a cross roads in your career be interesting which way he goes. Hopefully he follows in the footsteps of the likes of KDB and Dias and not dele alli or James Maddison.
