Phil and Jack on the lash?

There is no doubt that Grealish was over indulged at Villa because he was the golden boy. Pep and City will not turn a blind eye, Pep bombed Zlatan out of Barca in no time and Jack needs to wise up. As for Phil, he cannot be indulged either, for his own good. Hopefully they both learn.

You'd think he'd won all there is to win in the game and been the best player in the league for years the way some of you talk about Grealish.
Not aimed at you but it works both ways in regard to Grealish.
Some people seem to want him to fail, so that they can say " told you so", that is mental.
Some people won't hear a bad word said about Grealish, that is also mental.
I know the transfer fee wasn't his fault but every player has been judged against his transfer fee since the game began.
Grealish isn't any different and neither should he be, it comes with the territory
 
Grealish will sink or swim. You can only do so many stepovers and stutter steps on the wing while de Bruyne is bringing out fucking genius every time he touches the ball.

I think Phil has the talent in him to survive.

There are two sides to the spectrum of course but on this forum the negative side are much, much more vocal/dominant. Both in this thread and in his own performance thread, everytime I look at it, the vast majorit of it is just rational/normal/patient people vs people taking every little thing to the extreme because, as you said, they want their preconceived notions to feel justified.

Also, the comments about him have been different to the types negative comments that were made about other new signings i.e. Rodri and Cancelo... the comments are more personal, mad assumptions are being made.... there are people comparing his personality to fucking Ibrahimovic, which is just bizarre because even the most bitter of Villa fans would laugh at that comparison. I know we tend to be quite a pessimistic fanbase but I'd be embarrassed if other people saw how much some blues are slating our own player when ultimately all he's done is been a bit shit in the 18 yard box and shown up hungover for a recovery session. He deserves rational, constructive criticism for his performances and whatever punishment Pep deems necessary for the hangover -- not calls for him to be sold already like I've seen multiple times over the last few days.

Both Grealish and particularly Foden have the talent.

Grealish's problem is has he got the dedication to get to the very top, he has previous and needs to get his head down and show the talent, leave the bids and booze alone or at least be discrete.

Foden has the talent to be one of the very best but like his new mate needs to beware of the off field distractions, he has had wonderful role models at the club with the likes of David Silva , let's hope he keep his feet on the ground, he needs to.

And here we have it. Bless your sensitive soul. Any negative comments of Jack gets met with abuse such as being called a 'none city fan'.
This thread is equally full of posters happy to put their view of a player above that of the Club.
Seeing Jack and Phil laughing together while being benched made me and others cringe. Rightly so. Seeing Jack's interview looking rough as shit is also not good for 'my club'.
I don't want to see him sold. I want to see him developed. Kissing his arse ain't going to do it. Pretending he has been great ain't going to do it. He has said himself he needs to improve. He may well need time but he also needs the right attitude moreso. Not seeing it yet. Therefore a kick up the arse rather than kissing his arse is looking more the right course of action.

See I made my point and called them both out on here for being brain dead so how long are we going to come on here and slag them of all season for 1 bad stupid decision? Pep was right to call them out too. Oh for me and it’s only an observation because can only go of your posts you seems to pick out any negative about our club and rarely praise. You also made my point at then end there calling out your football teams players for laughing.
 
A lot of steam being let off here. Pep has it right, he is letting them both know that when you have a squad of talented and motivated players you lose your place (for whatever reason) you don't get it back automatically. Both of them will now have to wait until a player in one of their positions needs resting. No player in Pep's team gets a place because of who they are, they get the shirt because he believes they are earning it.

You are full of shit. When have I called the club out on anything? Find examples? Don't throw shit around. I have also ALWAYS backed the likes of Mahrez, Raz and Rodri when others were all over them. I also have no history of slagging off the club, Pep or other players. Find lots of examples or be man (boy?) enough to apologise... I await your answer...PM me if you like to keep your drivel off (note two ffs in off by the way) this thread...
 
I've not been reading this thread religiously but how on earth are we at 74 pages?
For me Pep is playing a blinder here with Grealish. He's has sent the message last week and he's holding him back just about long enough to get that fire in his belly and sort his shit out personally. When Grealish does come back into the fold he will be ready and he will have been given longer on the training field with the first team, which is probably what he needed when he first joined to be honest. This is Grealish's biggest test in his career now, let's see if he does have the attitude and the metal winning strength that he spoke about to see it through. He's on the biggest stage which he has always spoken about and Pep WILL give him the chance. Only if he now ignores the noises around him and focuses on one thing only.
We also seem to have KDB & Sterling back firing all on fronts too so it's an absolutely unbelievable position for us to be in at this stage of the season!
As for Foden, well a valuable lesson has been learnt. NOBODY is un-droppable and the strength in depth we have upfront now that Sterling is amongst the goals again and KDB has found his passing is unbelievable.

See don’t get when people as so aggressive! I apologise regarding posting anything negative about our club. Don’t do pm and don’t block anyone no matter how irritating.

Just my observation opinion on threads like these it’s a magnet for none supporting city fans just continually slag of our players after one stupid brain dead act under Pep. We will see now how they respond to this public call-out.
