Why was KDB giving it the “he will make his own decisions” speech in the after match interview? Saying “he should do what’s best for himself” etc. He’s on a 6 year deal, I’d like to think he’s already made his decision.

It was in response to a question about KDB himself having to move clubs. All he was saying was that he's a big boy now and it's up to him what he does. Didn't really see an issue with it.

This lad is the real deal, alright. You can sense the club trying like mad to include him as much as possible to make sure he stays, and also to get him in the England squad. Last night he slotted in perfectly. Quick, creative, aware, strong, an eye for goal...he's the future of England's midfield. He's everything the world cup team lacked.

He's an outstanding prospect.

Wonderful full league debut last night.

I think he might find himself going to Portugal this June.

My guess is he'll more than likely go to the U21 tournament this summer & break through into the senior England team in August/September

I wonder what would be best for his development of the two? I'm genuinely unsure.

For an eighteen year old to get into this team , that is some achievement , he didnt look out of place and made some great runs , best home grown prospect since Paul Lake.

They don’t overlap so in theory Foden (and Hudson-Odoi) could go to both tournaments.
