That's the serious worry for me.
They must feel they have us, because otherwise huge damage will be caused to the "brand" that is the Premier League.
On the other hand, if they "have us" after a four year investigation they would be able to take their time and not make stupid mistakes in their releases.
If they take their time and make stupid mistakes it doesn't reflect well on their competence. If they are rushing stuff out it makes me think there are other things in play here.

But I think you are right. IIRC, the time-barred elements were thrown out before the rest was even considered because they were, well, time-barred.
