PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Would any of you be angry with our owners for taking the club we have loved all our lives and dragging it through the mud for commercial gain and leaving us as fans to deal with the shit show it leaves behind (as we are now)? I feel there would never be any coming back from it as every success from here on out would just be met with the old 115 cheat tag from rivals a they are doing now before our case has even been heard. It would almost be like - what's the point anymore, we were better off without the success but our integrity in-tact.

If the owners brought that upon us I just don't know how I would feel about it all. I think it would be fair to be very angry with them.

No, because what heinous 'crime' would our owners have committed?

That they 'lied' to the Premier League about how they paid for players? It's not like Sheikh Mansour stole the money or embezzeled it. The training ground he built, the stadium upgrades, the infrastructure improvements, the team he's overseen, the manager who improved our style of play, but no, I should feel somewhat disgusted because of some 'rules' that were introduced for the sole purpose of stifling the clubs progress, might, MIGHT have been misintepreted and funding for players paid for incorrectly. As this is some sort of stain on the man's character or integrity? For wanting to use his own money to invest in HIS own football club?

After everything you've seen this club achieve, you can say that sort of tosh with a straight face? I do love when your types come out of the woodwork.

Pl will just leave this hanging and not give a flying fuck about any common ground. They achieved their end goal , ie smear campaign and it was successful atleast inside thier pea sized brain. I don’t really care tbh. From my crackpot blue tinted point of view the owners have been nothing but magnificent. The development of east manc is a reflection of his ownership.

If the club did do what its accused of I think a lot of people would feel incredibly betrayed, Soriano and Begiristain would be out at a minimum and then city fans would get over it eventually while the club would be made the black sheep of English football for a generation and presumably there would be a never ending stream of lawsuits between all parties.

I would not feel betrayed by City. The rules are wrong, not what City may have done to navigate. For me City have been put through a witchhunt driven by a few American led competitors in an attempt to keep more of the money pie to themselves, so their US investors can suck more money out of football. I do not accept the presumption that those rules are just, so that if City should fail them then we deserve to be punished, and I do not understand if any City fans would. City is the victim here, no matter what the kangaroo court will end up deciding. If we loose I hope we take the whole PL down with us in a ragnarok of lawsuits.

The only betrayal that has occurred is between the premier league and colluding clubs.

We didn’t fail the rules it was someone else’s fault. Ok I like it -:)
