One does suspect that much of this is performative rather than an actual hearing, and the club know this but the actual damage is actually incalculable it's been a stain on the clubs reputation and the PL, who in my eyes have come across as weak and in the pay of a certain cartel of clubsI asked someone I know at the club what the mood was like now that the case has finally started, and he said no-one is even really talking about it, which is hopefully a sign of supreme confidence. There doesn't seem to be any emergency contingency plans being drawn up, or people fearing for their jobs or anything like that, just business as usual. Given what's at stake, namely an existential threat to the club, you'd expect there to be a bit more concern if they truly feared the possibility of a guilty verdict.
He takes the case for 5k an hour, that's why, he can't lose, let's not forget he took the Boris Johnson covid case.I know everyone goes on about how city can afford the best legal minds in the business but has anyone ever considered why Pannick would take a case that he is 100 percent going lose according to the esteemed media?
Purely monetary? Nah these fellas are loaded. His reputation will certainly take a hit if we end up losing with “irrefutable evidence”.

Might be done as the club we are but will never be done KeepsIF we lose we are done as a club, that's how big a deal this is.
Sorry not a chance, it will destroy us and ast the very least we would be looking for new ownership.I doubt it. We just get on with it and as with any setback it could make us stronger.
Obviously without knowing anything about what your mates job is I imagine there will be a tight lid being kept on all of this stuff. Id only really expect Pep to know because he's Pep but I wouldn't imagine the players getting updated for example.I asked someone I know at the club what the mood was like now that the case has finally started, and he said no-one is even really talking about it, which is hopefully a sign of supreme confidence. Same can be said of the PL legal teamI know everyone goes on about how city can afford the best legal minds in the business but has anyone ever considered why Pannick would take a case that he is 100 percent going lose according to the esteemed media?
