PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

One does suspect that much of this is performative rather than an actual hearing, and the club know this but the actual damage is actually incalculable it's been a stain on the clubs reputation and the PL, who in my eyes have come across as weak and in the pay of a certain cartel of clubs

Of course if I was a rival this is exactly how I would play it, they are desperate and they will resort to desperate measures

Purely monetary? Nah these fellas are loaded. His reputation will certainly take a hit if we end up losing with “irrefutable evidence”.

He takes the case for 5k an hour, that's why, he can't lose, let's not forget he took the Boris Johnson covid case.

Obviously without knowing anything about what your mates job is I imagine there will be a tight lid being kept on all of this stuff. Id only really expect Pep to know because he's Pep but I wouldn't imagine the players getting updated for example.

If it's a 10-12 week process who from the club will even be in the room? I can't imagine Khaldoon or Soriano etc sitting around

Same can be said of the PL legal team

We don’t know what advice the PL’s legal team gave them
They may have said, “taking into consideration the CAS decision and you have very little other evidence, we rate your chance of proving the case to be less than 10%”
And Masters is so balls deep in this he’s given the go ahead even though the odds are “massively” in City’s favour
