PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

It really isn’t a criminal enterprise mate, it’s a more secure way to access the internet, although you can indeed source various types of criminality on the dark web

Imo, everyone should be using Tor, a dark web browser, along with a vpn for browsing the normal internet as it’s far more secure than the likes of Google

My understanding is that everything you do in Tor is essentially encrypted, so it gives you an added layer of security (hence why it’s popular with the criminal underworld)

That’s my basic understanding of it anyway & if I’m correct, I’ve got no idea why this isn’t advertised as a secure way to access the internet (possibly because data is king & Tor would put a stop to data collection??)

Ps I don’t use it myself as I cba trying to figure it out, but have mates who do
It's just a bit slow :-)

I've said it before and I'll say it again. They can bang the cheats drum as much as they want but the fact is we've not been fixing matches or buying off referees. We've never resorted to the kind of tactics that Arteta's Arsenal have been guilty of. And - since we started winning trophies again in 2011 - certainly not had any of our managers manipulate referees on an almost weekly basis like Ferguson did for many a year. If these cunts down the road want to talk about cheating then they need to look a lot closer to home because that was cheating in plain fucking sight and every fanbase in the country was more than wise to the fact.

Of course, none of that alters the fact that we're being accused of some very serious financial breaches and we'll need to go on to clear our name to remove that particular cloud that's been hanging over us but as things stand we've done fuck all wrong, and we've certainly never blatantly cheated on the pitch on an industrial scale, unlike certain other clubs. They're the real cheats, and that's before we get on to the suspected behind-the-scenes corruption that drove the Premier League to level the charges at us in the first place.
They have already failed FFP and been fined ..
Never mentioned tho

This reads like the one of the many ready made excuses that the majority of those who have already found us guilty will come up with if or when we are cleared. But I bet Mr. Dumb bar....sorry Dunbar will claim his club is squeaky clean.

Funny how bellends like this have decided that the completely neutral and super professional CAS was "dodgy"... but UEFA, who actually are and always have been dodgy as fuck, got the inital investigation spot on

Yes, that’s why UEFA dispensed with Leterme's services and completely changed their processes. Leterme was too upright and their investigatory system too fair.

You can't argue with stupid. As pointed out, organisations with history of dodginess can't possibly be the issue here, the independent sporting court of law with no agenda is dodgy I am telling you!

The same people that say the Premier League are corrupt but are squeeky clean when it comes to going after us and when we're found not guilty, will cry that they are in cahoots with us even though it's cost 'em a fortune trying to do us.

Well if there are any sympathies / loyalties with the PL amongst them, there might always be that potential risk.

Masters hasn't really demonstrated a huge degree of integrity during his time in office and may be desperately trying to stay in office. Desperation could be a driver.

Hopefully , and not before time imo, the official findings/ statements/ judgements will come out and sink all the plans and machinations of the cartel.

If you're referring to POD's post it'd be helpful to read it again. It hasn't been suggested that HRH would run a mile from the club afaik?

How do I know what? That SM distancing himself from the case if he thought things were going bad isn't even an option? What are you smoking friend?

Also, PofD claimed that Tolmie's posts indicate that TH doesn't understand the PSR rules when in fact it's the complete opposite. Tolmie suggested we did not go the shareholder loan route because we may have been prescient enough to foresee these loans eventually having to be included in the calculations of a club's PSR. Personally, I think that's a bit of a stretch but it's 100% NOT an indication of Tolmie not knowing what he's talking about in terms of PSR. Quite the opposite.

PofD has some sort of Schleprock shtick going, I get it, but really he's just a cartoon version of the Grim Reaper...
what an absolute crock o shit.

Firstly, I never said SM would run a mile from City - IF and it’s a big IF if we go down in flames at the 115 tribunal I would guarantee you that SM wont be taking the ultimate rap for it. Others might - but it won’t be SM.

As for your defence of Tolmie - he literally tweeted ‘why would city inflate sponsorship when billonaire owners can finance spending’ which is complete bollocks and misunderstand of PSR.

He dug in himself in deeper with ridiculous further posts saying the same.

I normally like Tolmies posts on Twitter - but todays thread was nonsense

ugh-are-we-there-yet.gif

Shame we won’t hear anything this side of Christmas. Looks like another 3/4 months wait.

City play any worse and we won’t need them to threaten relegation. Just do it ourselves -:)
Going from 50 points needed to maybe just 6 to manage it, just like the good old days this relegation malarkey

I don't know how many times this needs to be said but a football club is a terrible propaganda investment, a decent but ultimately limited political investment, and an excellent financial investment.

Go back and read the string fella, I didn't come up with the "run a mile from City," someone else did. I commented on it in a reply. I have zero problem taking up for what I say, but I do have a problem with even the most subtle revisions to what I've actually said and haven't said.

If we go down in flames as you say there's not a place on this planet SM can hide from the disgrace. Elon Musk can fly him to Mars and he won't be able to escape the stain. He may not give a shit down to his wealth and status in his homeland but from where I'm sitting his reputation in other parts of the world would be fucked.

That said, let's hope it never comes down to that...

I've just had a look at the Nick Harris article on SportingIntelligence. He's put a screenshot of an email from Simon Pearce at the top indicating this is part of his "new evidence" - that email has been freely available to download from this der Spiegel article since 07/04/22. Hardly anything new:

It's quite possible he is just bullshitting and all he is showing behind his paywall is just various emails from this article. There are about six pdfs containing multiple emails you can download.

Most people haven't downloaded and read them. I have, and I can assure you all, unless you are thick as pigshit, the emails der Spiegel share as damning evidence are nothing of the sort.

Luckily for me, I do understand how businesses work and what is normal practice. If you've never run a business, you could easily be deceived by them. The der Spiegel emails including this one do not indicate the sort of wrongdoing that der Spiegel suggests.
