PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Why would we pay a fine, "irrefutable evidence"?

Well, firstly I don't believe the club has irrefutable evidence on all the allegations any more than I believe the PL have cogent evidence to the standard required on the most serious charges. That was just necessary bluster.

But that aside, I think there is a possibility of sanction on co-operation or good faith both/either of which carry the possibility of a fine I would imagine.

If the club can finally close this whole sordid chapter with another fine, I think that would be a success. No matter what others (rival fans, press and no-marks like Magic Harris) think.

All imho, of course.

I would agree but if we are found not guilty of the main charges but are found guilty of non cooperation, would that take away any chance we have of compensation or actions against the PL?

I don't think there is any chance of that anyway, tbh.

Not so sure, depends what the PL case is.

Fair enough.

My feeling is, as at CAS, all parties will agree there was enough evidence to start an investigation and, as at CAS, the club will be found to have been non-cooperating by withholding external evidence from the investigation (whether they are sanctioned for it or not), so it is very unlikely the club has any claim against the PL.

But you may be right. What do I know? :)
