PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Unfortunately there is still a sizeable proportion of supporters who want for nothing more than fair and balanced insightful analysis and accurate reporting of the sport.

Those days are long gone - if they ever existed at all.

I think we'd expect all journalists - be that BBC, print media, Sky, whoever...to at least not blatently lie about facts, and to state quite clearly when they are offering opinion/conjecture rather than fact. That would be a start - when guesswork/wishful thinking is projected as fact to attract audiences/clicks, it goes wrong. Not too much to ask is it...

The old newspapers used to give just news then something inside which they called editorial. This was their take on the news.
Most media now cuts out the actual news and swings straight into their views on news presented as if it is the news.

Spot on. The same MO is at play on the front pages as it is on the back pages. They find someone they can demonise and then laugh all the way to the bank as the clicks roll in. We’re the Megan Markle of the sports section!
