PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

So still guilty/got away with it. No focus on why their auditors didn't pick it up on numerous occasions over ten years, and if it was not proveable, why did they continue to prosecute. I can see it happening. They will be spinning it that much they will need motion sickness tablets.

They’re not going to “end the case” as the evidence has been heard and the hearing concluded. There will need to be an outcome published.

We are either fully cleared or are found to have breached some rules.
 
The legal costs for the PL don't come out of prize money but the clubs still end up being worse off.

At the start of each season the PL puts around £10 million (guess) aside for unforeseen costs which may crop up in the following year. The legal expenses come out of that.

Usually, at the end of the year, the clubs get a windfall of say £500,000 each from the pot due to the fact that nothing cropped up. For the last few years there hasn’t been any/much windfall for the clubs because the PL has pissed it up the wall trying to enforce unlawful rules and chasing a handful of clubs around (mainly us)

I think I’ve remembered that right but I could be wrong.

What i dont understand is how the pl approved our books each year. Then some how decide the the early books were cooked.
Where did the pl get this evidence, why did the pl miss the cooked books ?

You have clubs using other linked companies like Red Football Ltd books for the pl. You have clubs selling to themselves. You have clubs claiming 200million covid cover. You have other clubs claiming 50million to dig a hole for stadium development. You have a club admitting off the book payments that the pl never saw.

How come the pl missed Chelsea off the book payments but say City have done this to. Pl spot City but didn't spot Chelsea.

I also dont understand how the pl can't investigate dippers computer hacking as it was over the 6 year limit. But the pl ignored that rule for charge City.

Now if this shit show is purely based on cut n paste hacked emails, its ridiculous. Surely the pl would want to see all the 1000's of hacked emails involving other pl clubs ?

The cannons only pointed one way towards Manchester, no wonder chavs reported it, knew the tribunal would be up to its neck and probably never get round to it due to 115. Cleaver, devious bastards from the Russian to whomever the fuck owns them now.

City on the other hand didn’t want to take anymore shit after the Uefa slap. We tried to play a clean hand and they shoved it right back down our throats while taking a hefty non corporation fine.

This period in time will be remembered as another hostile league takeover by the old cartel. Tried with super league and then destroy internal competition. They have history as the premier was born this way.

City will be accepted after all this as integral members. We have showed metal and perseverance backed up with a big fuck you.

Looking back at all this crap in 10 years will be fun -:)

As the books are audited by independent reputable compa they will sign them off

The investigation was solely based on the hacked emails

The off the book payments were missed because they were off the books
It only came to light when Chelsea's new owners found them and reported it to PL

The PL didnt investigate as it they only came aware of it after the six year limitation* and as it was settled between the parties decided that it no long warranted investigation

* Only serious fraud can me charged after this limitation

They choose not to extend their investigation beyond City, we all know why

Exactly. It was made public that the hearing has ended and a verdict was in the process of being formed. Someone is winning and someone is losing.

That's an interesting question, though. It's hardly equitable that, if the PL is ordered to pay both parties' costs, that this amount is deducted from the "pot" before it's distributed. In that case City will still get hit with 5% of the total costs. I wonder how they will handle that?

Is it even legal that City pay for their lawyers and part pay for pl lawyers ?

Dish the pl money out without the pl taking out say 20 million. Once all clubs are due their take the pl then take the fees from the other 19 pl pots, City then get the original amount before the fees are taken
