Personally, I don't think that's the case, but it is annoying that United can spend way beyond the limit of £105m per year over three years, or whatever that rule is that is being conveniently overlooked or circumvented.

Definitely not illegal but not needed anyway as all clubs promise to treat each other fairly, equally and with respect.Wouldn't this be similar to insider trading - clubs acting in the knowledge of, but before an announcement? Similar to clubs acting pro-actively on knowledge of proposed rule changes. If United and Liverpool are getting the heads up from their appointee, Masters, that should be illegal too.

Why aren't Newcastle, Villa etc not questioning why the red shirts can spend big money on players, but they can't? I would be extremely fucked off if I was the owner of these clubs.Its going well for the red cartel whilst Newcastle Aston Villa have to tread carefully despite having the cash to spend big. Ricky Masters and UEFA doing a great job of protecting the status quo. Liverpool needed the Moores money to become a big club. That would not happen now. Clubs around us have been chopping and changing and burning hundreds of millions chasing us the last decade but it won’t get spoken about, some just think it’s a computer game where you can ship Akanji and Gundogan to Saudi for 200m and then we can play Reis and Cherki instead

We are either fully cleared or are found to have breached some rules.
