Reading that article. If city lose it would be a disaster for the PL as clubs would want compo for lost trophy’s / league places.
City win and city will want damages so could drag on in court. Unless an undisclosed settlement is reached to compensate city. Would need the backing of all members. Future court costs v compo for city

I think it's a really interesting and important comment if it can be validated.

Patel wrote one of the worst analyses of the Everton case before the appeal I’ve seen. It was totally wrong.

The way cases like this work, there would be no big surprises. The PL will have been well aware of the scale and quality of City’s legal team, the arguments articulated in detail in correspondence before the “trial” and witness statements set out and swapped weeks before kick off. Then written openings swapped in the week or so before. So I’d say there was almost no chance of anyone being taken aback.

I'd never heard of him before but I hope he is right and we have loads of dirt against the PL and the Redshirts.

There was talk in the early days of this sorry saga that we had employed the football is fixed guy to help uncover shady goings on at the PL and its puppet-masters.

There was a point though when they found out the legal team we had put together, when they found out the irrefutable evidence we had, or when they realised we were going for the jugular on APT. I do hope at some point they realised we were not going to lie back and take it.

He knows very well about the corruption.

One I've thought about for a few years is the so called 'random' generator for PL fixtures. Goes on to infer that harder games are scheduled for certain, but not all teams after European mid weeks. A pattern I noticed a few years ago...

Np. I just thought it was interesting if it was a developing narrative. If Maguire was involved it would support the narrative. If it was just Patel's opinion then it can be quickly discounted, I think. He doesn't seem very .... sharp.

As much as I like to give them stick, I prefer cautious, calculating lawyers to shoot from the hip lawyers :)

The idea of eminent professionals in their field being surprised is beyond ridiculous.

They’re just offering a free bet to anyone who bet a team would win the league (but who then came second to City) for the last 8 times we won it. It’s just a sales ploy.

There’s nothing wrong with that if that’s what they want to do. The video ad seems to take the piss out of other teams’ fans as well. City can’t do anything about it because they would have to prove something we’re all waiting for and it’s just not worth it. That said, it probably won’t go unnoticed and I am certain that things will happen should the verdict go in our direction.

Also I'm not sure to what extent you can take someone aback by springing new evidence. I thought it all had to be pre submitted or does that only apply to the prosecution, not sure.
