My understanding is that the costs are deducted from the pot available for distribution to the clubs in any particular year. So, it will depend when the PL gets/got the bill(s) from their legal team, and when the award is finally madeAs an aside, and this may have been discussed before, but we know the PL's costs are shared by its members - what about the clubs like, say, DirtyLeeds, who weren't even in the PL when our "crimes" were said to have been committed. What about teams like Watford or Leicester who were, but are now not part of the league...

I'm a bit worried about Burnley attempting to sue Everton for £60m. Everton were punished by the PL who then invited others to punish Everton too (by suing them). That seemed odd but I wondered if they did that with us in mind. We could win this thing by 100 to 15, but could still be punished. What scenario would allow this and is this not the biggest threat? Clubs in England and Europe invited to sue us?

That all depends on whether we're found guilty of any of the more serious charges that could arguably have resulted in giving us a sporting advantage. I don't think the Mancini stuff comes close to that but if we were found to have indeed used disguised owner funding then that's serious.
